Psilocybe cubensis "Creeper" - Millet spawned to straw/manure, neglected
    #2538389 - 04/08/04 09:27 AM (12 years, 7 months ago)

Nothing flash, just straw and manure (pasteurised) into a nally tank with a perlite in base for drainage.

Spawned with millet. Strain is Creeper.

Colonised (cling film on it).

Cased in straight coir, egg rings for depth.

A piece of ol'panda film as a cover.

Just left it, no patching. Minimal work of any sort, forgotten on the whole.

Shrooms have taken a back seat of late, summer was so hot and mullies more the issue. All done for Easter, hash is next.

You never cease to amaze me Starter! I love Creepers, one of the best yielders I have ever seen. How much colonized grain did you use?

Also, how thick was the manure+straw layer?

A few questions...

How deep is the substrate?
How much spawn did you use?
How much dung/straw?
What exactly did you do for maintenance?
What was the yield?
And how much weed is that...it looks like a good helping?

>>>How deep is the substrate?

approx. 4"

Redstorm
>>>How much spawn did you use?

1 x 1lt jar of millet.

>>>How much dung/straw?

There's approx. 2ft.sq, so that by 4" in substate.

>>>What exactly did you do for maintenance?

Sprinkled water on it with my thumb over the neck of a beer bottle once a week. Same per directions of Agaricus kits that sell at the local supermarket. Less care than a geranium in a pot.

>>>What was the yield?

Pic below (a tad blurry, but I was rushed out of the kitchen lol). Picked today.

>>>And how much weed is that...it looks like a good helping?

3463 grams manicured dried bud. It's part Belladonna and Jack Flash, Jack Flash below. Preemo, A-grade. Out of kb's for current pics.

daywalker just a cat that comes around, belongs to someone else. It's a burmese. Very friendly and inquisitive.

I thought that it looked like a familiar breed. I have a Tonkinese: Burmese and Siamese mix. Like you mentioned, she loves people and likes to be involved with anything and everything.

Cheers!

Thanks guys. bluemeanie, pasteurised manure & staw. iamthewalrus, correct.

Anyway, 2nd flush. I think a 3rd will see it spent, but it's a good care free way to grow. I like the ol'bulk neglect thing.
