Found these growing in one of my outdoor pots this weekend - Oregon - about 1000ft - the weather is always a bit cooler up in these parts other than Portland I keep this pot watered/ it gets partial sun
I've been trying to get stuntzii to grow "at home" and maybe i have succeeded but
As I mainly find stuntzii in lawns these look a lil different - ie - fatter stems plus i am not seeing the 'Ring' on the stem? 2 times i have found stuntzii in a flower bed environment that looked like these - wavy caps - but i saw the ring too...
take a look and let me know what you think Thank YOU

these are from this morning_ without those 2 mature caps

Thank YOU

Looks like a psilocybe, but I'm gonna just follow along because I'm curious as well

Psilocybe cyanescens active, edible, early season find. Great work!! Let them mature as big as they can before harvesting for thicker spore prints. These are great specimens for my favorite species.

Thanks for the responses
Cyans maybe? but the cap color on these feels off to me + small stature.. i still don't even see the remnant ring that would show on a cyan ..? i did have some 'summer' cyans pop 2 years ago so i know that it is totally possible though
As for how they came to be in this pot = - i may have put it there - or it came with the Hawthorn start i dug out of someones landscape bed - or some cyans did get into this pot??
past few years ive been trying to get stunzii to grow I start a lc from spores on brf after that i put them to a coco coir/ nutrient mix and it grew well outside - but then i didn't know what to do next as the coir got too wet and it was going to collapse so to save it i put substrate in the flower pots
these pots get set up with lots of wooody debris because i want to grow the mushrooms there as well as plants that way the plant acts as a companion and i don't have all these seemingly "empty pots" that i keep watering
I'm going to keep an eye and update you on these in the next few days & keep em moist too
to be cont....
