Cacti easy to grow?
    #2535896 - 04/07/04 04:06 PM (19 years, 11 months ago)

Cacti seem to be quite easy to maintain, I was just wondering, if i were to grow some san pedro, would I require alot of light? or would a florescent light do?

you can't put it outside? or in a windowsill? all mine are indoors on the patio. they hardly get any direct light and they are doing great. if they weren't easy to grow, they would all be DEAD!

Where did you get the 400watt? and how much was it?

I dont know much about high intensity lights....they need a ballast right?

400W HPS Lamps are awesome and pretty cheap, you should also get a reflector hood. If you want to grow lot's of plants and cacti I'd recommend a 600W.

I've been toying with the idea of surrounding my pedro with vertical flourescent tubes, so that it gets lots of light all round...
What do you think?
