hey everyone its been morel season on the west coast for some time now, nearing to an end here...

just recently i found about 2 pounds of yellow morels here in santa cruz county california, they are so rare yet so delicious.

unfortunately i do not have pics of them, but they were beauties!

anyone know what the cyanscens seasons are?

thats awesome!  :thumbup:

cyanescens are in the fall, usually late october-december (this is a rough estimate, usually it ends after a couple bad freezes.)

there are plenty of posts in this forum on this subject, do a search and you'll find some great photos from this past fall! :sun:

My friend from Myco t just picked around 8-10 pounds yesterday in a clearcut on the Kingston side.

I'm in northern Georgia and I've found all of 2 morels so far... One of them was growing about 10 feet from my house(wasn't expecting that). I'm hoping that one morel turns into a crazy patch of them.
