Looking good, I shake the hell out of mine between 15-20%... just enough mycelium to spread throughout the jar... I'd just about shake these, another day or 2

Any reason why you opted out of quart jars?

I used pints because my small electric pressure cooker would hold one quart tilted to the side or 4 pints. All I have is a Polly fill lid and did spores straight to grain. 7 out of 8 are showing growth!

Read up on agar... it's easy and reduces your risk of contamination... not to mention a chance to stay busy with mycology (transfers, isolations, etc) without having a hundred tubs lying around lol

I don't know, according a trusted cultivator, the location of the germinating spores determines whether or not there is a contamination risk.

Better throw it away to be safe.

Alright I'll throw out the one with no growth. I'm in the southeast so I'm planning on using these for an outdoor bed.

If there's NO growth at all in the jar, then it's safe to assume it's still sterile. Spores can take up to a month to start developing or as little as a few days.

First timer also- Does shaking depend on what TEK you use? I have 2 jars using the BRF tek. It never mentioned anything about shaking and my jars are more than 30%.

Does shaking them now help at all, even incrementally?
