I used to have a chinchilla herd and this was something I read about but never saw firsthand thankfully. I gave all my chinchillas lots of pumice to chew on and giant multistory single family cages.

Who would win in a fight. A whistlepig or an armadillo?

Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not.

*CHUCKFACT*

woodchucks can, and will bite. They prefer to run and hide in their burrow, but they will bite a person when trapped, frightened and/or trying to escape. We see this happen every few years to some unsuspecting mayor while trying to pose for photos at a Groundhog Day celebration. If groundhogs are being trapped for their coat, they will definitely be afraid, aggravated and trying to get free of their human captor.

They can take a mans finger clean off. The mountain folk and frontiersman in the days of yore often spoke of their incredible bite. :sadyes:

Woodchucks prefer to feed in the early morning and evening hours. They are strict herbivores and feed on a variety of vegetables, grasses, and legumes. Preferred foods include soybeans, beans, peas, carrot tops, alfalfa, clover, and grasses.

During hibernation—150 days without eating—a woodchuck will lose no more than a fourth of its body weight thanks to all the energy saved by the lower metabolism.

My yard is basically on a peninsula of swamp land. There's one really small pond area where all the wildlife congregates, mostly woodchucks, muskrats and ducks during the day.

The muskrats swim upstream and collect brush and twigs, then come motoring downstream with it all in their mouth to bring back to wherever their home is. The woodchucks love messing with the muskrats. They'll jump out of bushes and scare the shit out of the muskrats, causing them to drop all their twigs and stuff and run away. The ducks don't care about anyone, there's one with a bum leg that's been coming back every summer for years, he's got a lady duck that's super defensive of him.

Can't wait until it gets warmer, eating some acid or smoking and kicking back watching these critters is an experience
