Yea ive heard that casing helps to prevent getting a bunch of blobs during the first flush, however recently ive also been told that people are able to get great flushes without using any casing at all. So as of right now i think im gonna try growing them like i do with any other cubensis. Just a light top layer at spawn and then mist if needed.

Do you guys find that you have to mist a lot more during your later flushes, even if you bottom water/dunk? During my first flush I usually can go without misting at all, however during my 2nd,3rd etc I am noticing a lot of side/bottom pins. I wonder if it's because I only bottom watered for these flushes and didn't mist much. I now began misting them to try to get some more surface fruits, and am noticing I need to mist at least 2 times a day to keep beads on the surface.

It's because the sub shrinks and there's more space between the sides.

Very first APE pins! Kinda sparse but I don't care as long as I get some. Hopefully some of those knots turn into more pins. Kind of hard to tell pin from big knot with ape. Did pseudo casing and see maybe one blob. 3 different shoeboxes.

I have to most all the time, like 3+ times each day easy.

I was wondering if anyone here doesn't dunk the box and instead just continuously waters it until it stops producing.  Will it make much of a difference yield wise?

Does this look like verticillium yo you guys? I assume it is because there’s a couple fruits in my PE box like that and now I found one in my Ecuador box like this also. I think if so it traveled from the PE to the other tub

2nd flush is taking it's sweet time on this(my first APE:tongue2:) shoebox.

I'm hoping those knots gain some weight.I've already bottom watered this one,and the box still has some weight to it,but they seem to be shrinking the sub anyway.:shrug:

This APE box is looking pretty good,starting to see knots forming.

This APE is looking....different:shrug2:

,but still starting to knot.:shrug:

Guess we'll see.:super:

My PE6 recently looked this way , lol, almost buried bc I thought it was mold... then blobs, which stopped growing, and now:

Did you case it? I had psuedocased with coir only  (just to see how it went), thinking maybe it just colonized slower... solid white now

First flush of the above shoebox.

@Caps
All of these APE have been pseudo cased at spawn.

idk dude, it may not be just cause you cased it. I can't put my finger on it, but something looks off. Don't like how the growth is so varied, from a few knots, to whispy, to almost bald. Time will tell I guess.
