What happened to the pf varieties? Seems they're not available anymore from vendors?

I get so confused with the shorthand. CBK? I only recently found out what TOC/TYC meant lol.
Noob, It looks like a nice tub actually. Its really oppressively hot in my area too and ive had some outdoor cubes at like 100 degrees doing just fine. And when it rains, fuck they flush hard (and fast, ive had like 5-6 flushes and still going). I know substrate is supposed to be below 86 deg but it seems to do fine in blazing heat anyway.
My plates started pinning, time to transfer. And maybe take a pin clone or two
My new grows are on pause for a short bit so im just trying to have the cultures ready for them to be put on grain when the time comes
I also have all these edible LCs i should out on agar, basically got them for free. But the one time i tried working with shiitake i must have fucked something up. They def were not as forgiving as cubes

There's was TONS of these boletes along the trail this weekend. Made for a cool hike

The tub is a store bought manure experiment. I know it's the wrong color tub.

Cbk is comebackkid Ppp is pinpornproducer. Colonization temps need to be low to avoid contain growth

Sexy growth. Care to share your mix?
I'd be interested to know also

I used 5 grams of light malt extract that I bought from one of our sponsors and then slightly under 5 grams of agar probably around 4.7 or so to 250ml of water. I’m happy with it it’s performing better then any other agar I used so far. I’ve even tried premixed mea from the same vendor but it produced some berry fluffy growth so I’m glad I just got light malt extract and mixed it myself. The best part is it comes out crystal clear.

Yea. Premixed tends to be too nutritious for my liking

Agreed.
I had the worst performance with seaweed solutions mea premix. Way too hard and overly nutritious.

75+ Colder temps are the best.
Im kinda noob aswell, This orissa shoebox are grown OUTDOORS in 90-95+ during summer.

Clean spawn + Lots of fae + THin subs helps, @ the expense of frequent misting and thin not so meaty stems. But the harvest aint bad.

Aiming for pans next-time which loves my hot area.

Impressive! I would have thought shoeboxes with thin subs would be extremely hard to grow outside in the heat

Pixelpopper is on his back cant see his eyes on the new avatar.
Outdoors fully shaded with lids only covering half of the tray.
Me find (1-1.5")thin subs good at battling bacteria during the heat. @ faster evaporation and dry-up.
Only hardest part but not with love is 3-4x mist once a day or every other day. Maintaing CBK surface beads as much as me can.

It's a cube right? Looks like it to me but it didn't bruise and different density in the stipe. My first outdoor attempt. Like 2 qts contaminated spawn and composted manure and dirt on top.
