Reintergrating back into society.

Anyone had to do this before?
I have.
Going from the festival life back to normal organized/structured society is so strange. Feel like i have to re-teach myself in a way. Its so different.
Still trying to figure out how to blend both realities in a liquid way.

It's one or the other. If you want back into this self-destructive society, consume red meat, sugar, vegetable oils, and alcohol. Also be sure to be as sedentary as possible.
-------------------- Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Psalm 12:6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Wish i could but festivals are temporary and expensive. Plus its pretty harsh on the body. I probably wouldnt survive
I guess its just a once in a while thing. Gotta blend both lifestyles.

Im currently reintegrating to civilian life, the process fills me with compassion for people who have spent years in jail. Some may deserve that or worse, but in any case its an unreasonably harsh reality.

Solitary confinement is harsh. Itβs inhumane and should not be tolerated, sadly it is though and we let people who were once like us be caged up in small cells to be left there to rot and be treated like animals.

I went from working years as a bartender to R&D chemist. I had to watch my potty mouth and keep abortion jokes to a minimum. Its a lot harder than youd think.

The world is a good place
With some strange places you can end up if you are not careful!
While there are indeed exceptions out there - the vast majority of us made series of conscious choices to be where we are today, doing what we are doing - remember that! And do not try and fool yourself into thinking you are a hapless victim.
Where do you truly wish to be? What steps can you take? If you are truly driven to improve your life and see yourself somewhere new - see those two questions through and through - with fervor!
If you are generous with your action and deed,
Genuine in heart and discourse,
Smile within and without,
Concise in intent,
and flexible in perspective,
Even the most harrowing of trials can be an ultimately positive experience.
And one can find serenity, wonder, and beauty where another may see nothing - or worse.
Nothing on the planet can shake you

LOL that you think "festival life" is in any way separate from structured society. I think what you mean is, "waaaah, I can't eat drooooogz from dawn till dusk...how will I ever get used to that?"
If my statement is inflammatory or an overreaction, I suggest you try being self-employed and earning a living/living on your own terms, regardless of place and time.

I have experienced this kind of thing from going back to the city after a couple months working in the bush. But if it's after spending the weekend away, maybe you are building this up too much in your mind as being the only way to have a good time, or maybe you're partying too hard when you're there.

Maybe youre right. Maybe im exaggerating it in my mind.
Just seema like those couple days strip away all the feelings of being in structured society in all the best ways.

Did you end up yielding any DMT?

If you can bring back half of the lessons and kindness -- you will do will in society!
I find it comical how life can seem so easy when you are doing your thang, and how difficult it can be to "reintegrate". You seem to have it all figured out, until you come down the mountain and have to "deal" with folks.
The previous poster had it right though. There are some amazing people "out there", and in many cases, people who are more readily available for deeper relationships.
Most of my good friends are not "heads" at all. The learning I get from doing my thang are my lessons, and that path is chosen by the few. Doesn't mean there aren't some super awesome people out there.
