Home Depot Pachanoi * 2
    #25340228 - 07/22/18 11:30 AM (2 years, 9 months ago)

Needed some perlite and the first hardware store was all out, which led me to the depot, which I wouldn't have ever gone to.  So I'm going to assume the spirit of the Pedro was transmitting it's beacon to lure me in towards the love.  That's strange that a Lowes would be all out of perlite.  Just as strange as the concept that all of the 8 quart perlite bags now seem to come pre-fertilized with miracle grow...  Is that weird to anyone else?

I think I may have to go back today to purchase this $22 Pedro crest.  What do you think?

Man, we get shitty cacti here at my Lowe's, but when I resided down in Florida, I saw Trich's of all kinds, including crests all the time, at the local Lowe's. I think it just depends on where your at. Lowe's tends to offer up mostly plants that are acclimated to grow in a certain area, and most people, where it gets freezing cold, aren't going to jump on buying some big cacti, that they will have to lug in and out for the winter. This is the way I see it. Our tropical selection is pretty much non existent here, and it makes me very sad :frown:

I think it's very strange, for Lowes not to carry the 3 cu. size bags of perlite. So normally I'd go to Home Depot; however, my girlfriend works at Lowes and we get Pete Moss there for soil mix and some plants for a little cheaper. Never came across anything too special over there. I have got 2 San Pedros for like $20 at 11'' tall at Home Depot. Like the ones in your picture, but there as 2 in the pot.
