Do you think that it might be possible to use a damp towel as the moisture source for the fruiting chamber?

Soaking wet towel should work. As long as it evaporates off moisture and doesn't dry out it should work IMO. I'll try many different methods very soon to confirm what works and what doesn't

I have a note to put here. I'm using a wet towel on in my FC, and if I keep the lid flipped but smaller gaps the amount of humidity is immense. Water forms on the walls and even the bottom of the lid. And the towel stays soaked.

@Amanita
The only thing I can think of worth mentioning is that it's sometimes nice to work with a solid substance in the tub if you are moving tubs up/down from shelves, etc. Water will move around more, of course, but hey...its free and doesn't necessarily hurt to get your cakes wet.

Doing my second grow using the Humidity Chamber. It is all I recommend. Also trying out spawn to bulk utilizing some 5oz cakes as spawn. Ignore the verm mess. It was clean till my dog decided to try and see what I was doing and upon leaving whacked the bin with her tail... I am super low on verm so after rolling another 4 cakes tonight I will add more to the ones that got knocked over.

Worked well for me last flush. My house sits fucking cold. All the waters doing is warming the climate up. Makes it become 70 inside there instead of 60. All it's doing is adding a step to help MY situation inside my house. Also, there is a fan across my room blowing on the chamber from afar. What makes you think it's not getting enough FAE?
Also, there is no humidifier inside of there. That's a temp gauge.

I just used it to track the temperature. I take it out after. Just to see if I need to regulate the heater. Sitting at a solid 70 degrees constant! I believe that's better than 60 lol.

Idk why he assumed that, maybe cause cakes look weird if they're not surrounded by hundreds of holes
I'm so fucking fucking excited FUCKING that I'm finally getting to fruit a whole bunch of cakes in different HC setups. I'll try different tub dimensions as well, higher and shorter ones.
Did I say I was excited? I'm waiting for a friend now to help me carry tubs home from IKEA
