    #25338216 - 07/21/18 02:39 AM (2 years, 9 months ago)

Hello Shroomery forum,

I'm fairly new here so please let me know if i need anything else for IDs. I am trying the spore prints atm will post later.

Species #1

Habitat: base of tree, wood chips, nearby creak/water flow

Gills: lightish brown

Stem:light brown, almost metallic

Cap:brown (was light int he greenery, darkened over couple of hours)

Bruising:bruises darker broken (similar to cap colour)

General location: NW Sydney

---------------------------------------------------

Species #2

Habitat: Wood - Found in deciduous woods, growing straight from a fallen rotting tree.

Gills: The gill color varies from a white to a green colour.

Stem: Whitish, quite slim - bit of light brown at the bottom

Cap: light brown, darkens very slightly in centre

Bruising: bruises dark brownish

Location: NW Sydney

----------------------------------------------------

Species #3

Habitat: briefly off a walking track, in dead leafy area with moisture around (near creek)

Gills: The gill color varies from a light brown to match the cap colour with a noticable gap between the gills to a similar light brown colour but with far tighter spread of gills (rest of pics)

Stem: Whitish, a bit stocky in thickness at the stem, thinning out as it goes up

Cap: Lively light brown (pics 1 & 2) and on the rest it's a lively light brown too but with a darker brown nipple centre

Bruising: No real noticeable color change was observed, pics 1/2 shroom seems to darken very slightly on a bruise but is still quite light

Location: NW Sydney CBD

--------------------------------------------------------------

Species (assorted)

Habitat: most finds here were just next to a walking track, typically in a cool climate, near a creek and among wood chips/ leafy patches

Location: NW Sydney

No seal needed, just cut the stem off the cap as close to the gills as possible and place them gills down on a piece of foil.  Paper worker but you need both black and white paper to see what you have, but foil shows all spore colors. Leave them alone for 6-8hrs min. Up to 24hrs. If they are already drying when you start the prints add a couple drops of water to the cap top and cover with a glass or bowl or something like that.

The very 1st picture, farthest shroom on the left looks promising, let me see the gills on that one, the rest in that picture are nothing good, I think they are cortinarius.

Species 2 is a mixed collection, the one with the fat stem base is an Amanita sect lipidella I believe, the other I'm not sure what it is, I think I see blue bruising near the cap where the stipe is broken. Let me see it's gills for an identification.

Species 3 looks like galerina

Misc.
#1 puffball most likely lycoperdon or something similar.
#2 paxillus is a possibility
#3-4 idk
#5 I think they're all cortinarius

Last row 1st picture: cortinarius
