Heyah.
I posted this previously and I don't see it anywhere, so meh. I found these in some grass in Northern San Diego. The spore print for the blackish one is black and the one for the orange shroom is light brown. It was hard getting the caps off. The orange one kinda feels slimy and the black was very brittle. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Gracie.

As a quick guess, the one on the left looks like Agrocybe pediades and the one on the right like Panaeolus foenisecii.
For future reference, a view of the unerside of the caps is very useful for identification. Also, make a strong effort to get the entire stem, including the base - even if you have to dig into the ground a little. For many mushrooms we need to see the base of the stem.
Happy mushrooming!

Would you say that the foenesicii is worth eating? One sight said that it contains some psycobin(SP?) and I'm positive that it's foenesicii after looking at the pictures.

First of all, we can't be 100% sure over the internet that it's actually Panaeolus foenisecii.
Second, as mjshroomer will confirm, P. foenisecii does not contain any psilocybin, in spite of what you may have read somewhere. The studies where they concluded that it did probably used some misidentified specimens of a similar looking active species.
So don't eat that mushroom. If you're really interested in active species, keep looking.
The San Diego area isn't really a very good place to look for such things. The areas to look for them are the Gulf Coast and Pacific Northwest. They are sometimes found elsewhere, but not nearly as often or in the quantities they are in those two areas.
Happy mushrooming!
