Over hydrated grains

Hey, so I finally got my new presto 23q and I did my first round of 10 jars in it! yay! But I have a problem, after the sterilization and cooldown I see a few grains super-hydrated (just like when they become bacterial) but it is not result of improper rye prep - all the grains were dry to the touch and homogenous before loading. My first thought was that some water splashed into the jars but I use 3 layers of tight Al foil and therefore I don't think this is the reason behind the problem.
My jars have theese lids:

(thick felt + heavy duty silicone for injection port)
What do you guys think is the problem? I mean... it is still gonna work, I'm just not sure what is the problem here...

Did you cover your lids with foil?
Also just give your jars a really good shake out of the PC. This will help distribute moisture around and will roll any wet grains against dry ones to wick moisture away.

Too wet going in. You don't need foil on the lids. I rarely use foil on the lids. Its been ages since the last time i have.

Shake it and it should all soak up.

So remember your bringing your temps up past boiling. Moisture is going to leave some of the grains and create a little steam inside the jars. This is normal. Seems like these days I always have 1 or 5 really hydrated "fresh" looking grains. Doesn't affect anything on my end.

Theres steam inside the jar and outside. its equilibrium of pressure and steam. I accidentally left my cooker on overnight once. The grains were dark but neither dryer or wetter.

you using poly lids? I'd prefer to not use foil cause its annoying but was afraid the poly getting wet could be an issue
