I'm SO excited! This is my first post on shroomery and my first grow. I am very surprised that I have done so well. I'd like to share my experience and I have a few questions too.
I used 1 pt jars for my BRF cakes. Next time I'm planning on using 1/2 pt jars. The 1 pint jars took 8 weeks to mature.

I didn't get a pic of it, but I lost one jar due to contamination (blackish grey fuzzies). I ended up breaking it up outside because I didn't want to throw it away. Behold! a week later, I had one single mushroom!

I broke the three remaining cakes up into coir/vermiculite using the bucket tek and waited a week before starting my FAE and misting. I cased with coir/vermiculite.

So today I think I'm ready to harvest!

But I have two types of contaminates in my substrate (one actually touching my shrooms the other just on the substrate itself).

Is it still okay to consume the shrooms? The white contaminate at the base of my mushroom is the one that I'm most concerned about, but you can also see a greenish contaminate on the substrate.
Thanks for any help you guys have. I've only been a lurker so far but I greatly appreciate all the information here and support.

The white at the base of the stipe, on your mushrooms, is fuzzy feet. It's okay and is just a reaction to high RH. Dry it and eat it.
The green however, isn't okay and you can either set this outside to flush again or harvest and toss this and start over.
I'd just toss it.
Also, next time you can remove the foil from yur brf jar. The dry vermiculite layer on top will act as your filter, the foil just blocks some GE

Thanks for the info! I got 273 grams out of this flush! I'll just toss the rest of the substrate outside and see what happens.
The foil on my jars is my "lid" by the way.

Ah gotcha.
If you have any hay or dead grass throw it over the sub outside and give it a spray wi the hose.
If not, just give it a shady spot under a bush or something.
