Psilocybe Cubensis Mycelium Appeareance?

Hi... write to you all looking for an advice,.. i Have collected some spores on a microscope slide from a wild Psilocybe Cubensis,
i tried to grow them on an agar plate, the agar solution was made from potato broth, yeast and glucose... but the plates 7 days later look like if the plates had a translucent growth and i really don´t know what should be the appearance of the mycelium ...Is that translucent thing expected?
I have tried to inoculate the plates caring about sterility... but i really don`t know if i have contaminants in it... should i throw it out and start again?
Thanks for your advice.

Concur. Bacteria.
That white in the middle is the mycelium.

Ok Thank you very much.. i wanna ask one more thing..is it possible to make a transfer from mycelium spot on the middle of inoculated plate to another virgin plate or it is better to start again because of the presence of baterial contamination on the plate?
Thanks

should have skipped the spore print. if you still have fresh fruits I would do the following:
- sterilize 2-3 jars of water - in a SAB, rip open a stem or cap and collect some clean tissue from the inside of the fruit with your knife. you want tissue that has not been exposed to the outside and isn't dirty - dip that small piece of tissue into your sterile water jars - put your super clean mycelium tissue to agar

Wow Munch I never though about doing it that way. you dip them into all of the sterile water jars in succession or just one?

whatever makes you feel comfortable. One is probably fine, but I like to be certain. I've done that method to clone plenty of wild edibles, and it makes the initial jump on to agar much easier. I would have a dozen different contams on a plate, and now most of my plates come out completely clean the first go round. It makes a huge difference.

Huh. The more you know right.
Do you use this method with clones from your tubs too?

naw those are generally clean enough. this practice is mostly reserved for wild clones.

Ok good to know. The last time I tried cloning from my tubs it didn't go to well.
Might have been a bad job pouring gotta practice more with my sterile tek and plates.
