Love the smell of myc in the morning, never get tired of the beauty of it:

Not liking the significant amount of mold that got into the process, still cleaning that shit up. Gonna PC a new batch of jars and go G2G from the cleanest of the last batch as soon as they're cooled enough. It's typical when I start up cult again, start out sloppy. Shit gets there in the end regardless.

You've got some nice pins starting to show. Hope you get a great harvest and maybe a few good flushes.

I never understood using popcorn as spawn. Not only do the big grains provide fewer inoculation points, but it’s really expensive compared to oats, rye, or wheat.

Oats is best in my humble amateur opinion.
Welcome back Eno btw.
Never done popcorn. Never plan to. Oats oats oats. Lovem. Gnats? Hatem. But I think theyre all dead now. Sanitizing my grow area. Gonna do sealed grows. Only air in. Only air out, then mushrooms out.

Oats, winter wheat, rye. I love all 3 of them. I've never tried popcorn though.

Oats are the shit! Dirt cheap, hold water perfectly, and usually very clean. I live right down the street from a feed store that sells 50lb bags for 12 bucks. I used to have problems with endospores in wheat and rye, plus they’re more expensive than oats. The only other grains I use are millet and milo for G1 and G2.

yeah but its moving along very well, and its the only popcorn one i have going, the rest are rye.. i was just bored an impatient so i tried popcorn!!! its actually not as crucial as it may seem.. there is no build up of moisture on the bottom.. just droplets on the sides. I'll keep updated, but i have good vibes about that jar.. all my other popcorn contaminated. Because i didnt use a filter.. But now i am, we will see

I’ve read about using it for stones, but I dunno about using for cube spawn. It’s expensive everywhere near me.
