It goes in the jars a lil damp but hydrates more in the pc. Idk if u noticed the same thing mushboy?

Im gonna try it like that now. I just got some more wbs and qt jars were on sale. I was doing like couple hour soaks. Last batch i let soak too long, This last stuff had cracked corn wich i didnt notice when i bought it, dont like that shit at all. Live n learn.

Mine has cracked corn... Not ideal but it works fine for me.

I got some finch seed this time, not cheap! Im probably go back to the first stuff i used. It was cheap and was easy to sift out what i dont want.

Yea I just get the cheapest shit possible lol. Got fancy and bough safflower seed one time. That was not a fun time. I've been curious about nyger seed. Not gonna waste my money tho.

I hear ya! The cheap stuff has been the best. Im thinking of trying oats or grain. I like to try new things.

So If I read it right your just using the raw bk manure brand with not pasteurising or anything? They sell this locsllly I wanna try it now, for the moistur lost have your tried mixing with some added verm or anything? Looks nice

Yep, just right out of the bag, no pasturization,or prep. I did one of my first tubs with a moist verm casing. Didnt seem to make a difference. Im sure if you kept an eye on them, misted,bottom-watered, they would do better. Im kind of going the lazy, hands off approach right now. My current trays I did the lid loose for two days, then bagged them, and not touching them till their ready for harvest. Just testing the parameters.

Yea it's only $5 give or take a few cents. It USED TO BE $3. Around here anyway. Prices jumped last year

Update on mine: 13 days after spawning, 10 fruiting. 1 lonely side pin because it shrunk a little.

Im amazed how colonized peoples surface are. I dont know if I havent paid enough attention to mine, but I swear mine never white out like that before it starts pinning. Seems like there is always some uncolonized substrate in mine. Is that a pe variety? Im gonna try some pe soon. Just gotta get the balls to order em! Lol, that part scares the shit outta me. It's actually f+. Usually that's from uneven sub, or low spawn ratio, or too dry/wet. Urs look fine tho. Maybe low spawn ratio? In that tub is 4qts wbs and 4 qts manure.

I spawned one yesterday with no prep, (well I added water to it) and it's going good so far.

Thats awesome, good luck. Im pretty sure I havent used more than 2pts in a shoebox yet. Im gonna up my spawn, I stepped up to bigboy jars now, lol, im itching to try some bigger unmodifieds, and i have a 60something tub for a mono. Just havent had the time

No, all the pics in this thread are.

And I always use 1:1 or 1:2 or in the middle somewhere. Ull like monos. They hold conditions better.

The shoebox on the right is a bk box. The biggun is from burying subs. PSA: bury your spent subs,lol, cover them with bk, then dirt, top it off with some dead grass or leaves.
