Juan, i understand the not wanting to be suspicious.. it only takes one complete asshole to ruin your life...
Ok.. so you have a heat pad.. the best thing you can do in my mind would be to find like a clean garbage can and some racks.. put the heat pad at the bottom (as safely as possible.. fire is bad) scrounge up some cooling racks (like bakers cookie racks, they are CHEAP) and find a way to mount them above the heat rack.. instant dehydrator.. I would also put some holes in the bottom of the can so you can get convection going..
All a dehydrator does is move warm air over whatever you are dying.. you could make one using that heat pad in 20 minutes.

Oh man that is devastating, I would honestly invest the €50 otherwise all that hard work is for nothing, maybe order one and tell the people you live with you want to make Jerky? Maybe make 1 batch of Jerky when it comes and then after that use it for your shrooms.
Edit: Also I am no expect by any means but maybe cut the mushrooms in half down the middle so they dry better? When I dried mine with my dehydrator I thought they were good to go but the bottoms of them still had moisture in them which I am grateful I found out before it was too late.

To build on Grey's comment, you can dehydrate fruit into chips to. Probably easier than prepping meat for jerky.

If you have a fan, and a paper bag with slits in it you can dehydrate your mushrooms without heat; no problem.
This is tragic. Sorry for your loss. RIP

Friends this why I stress time and time again the importance of getting a dehydrator!

yes sir. I feel for you man. When I started out I had 3 ziplock bags full of "dried" shrooms grow trich. It sucks to do all this work to keep trich outta your grow just to have it show up when you think you've beat it.

What do you mean by a clean garbage? And fire? It's not like a really powerful heat pad, it wouldnt cause a fire.
Anyways, I'll explain: this was my second grow and i had done a previous one like 4 months ago. Back then it wasn't too warm in my room, so I used a heat mat. To dry my shrooms back then what i would do was having the shrooms on paper like now, but with the heat mat under. Whithin, i'd say, 2 or 3 days they would be dry, this long period of time probably took some potency from them I guess? But that was fine cause they wre pretty much cracker dry, the small ones at least, bigger ones would be like 90% dry. The thing is, since it's summer now, I checked that the temperature in my room is like 25 degrees and I thought like, okay if back then it was cold in my room and I used the heat mat to dry them, this temperature should also be is hot enough, I'll leave them on paper again but without the heat mat! And then after 2 or 3 days I stored them rip, cause they turned out to not be cracker dry/they had moisture still. But now that i think about it, it was like 7 flushes that i successfully dried with the heat mat before. I think I would be fine if I had just used it again instead of thinking that room temperature was sufficient I have the second flush lying on paper still, with the heat mat right under, they should be at like 40 degrees since theyre right above the mat lying on the paper. I'll just blow them with cold air from an hair dryer right before storing them just to be sure there's no moisture Thanks for all the suggestions btw, it's trully sad to lose such an amount, it was an entire holiday of tripping that i had in mind...

It would totally be do-able, to make shroomy jerky sticks.
EASY. maybe.

One thing to keep in mind if your method worked last time and not this time, I know in the winter my house is dry as hell from the furnace running, but the ac doesn't seem to kill the humidity as well, so there's probably more moisture in the air now and even with the heating pad it could take longer than it did before for them to get cracker dry. What about buying a small desk fan to go along with your heating pad, get some air moving?

I would think so, also the suggestion above for damprid would be pretty stealthy, we used some kind of desiccant for my wedding bouquet and it worked really well (idk what type it was). But that was literally throw desiccant and flowers in a closed box until all the moisture was gone. I don't remember how long it took since it was about 6 years ago.
