Mycelium colonizing wet verm casing. Normal?
    #25298095 - 06/28/18 11:41 PM (6 years, 6 months ago)

I'm top fruiting some PF jars. The jars are in a makeshift mono made of plastic wrap and cardboard that's light permeable on three sides and the top. It's slightly cracked open during the day and closed at night. A 6500K light is pointed at it, 12 hours on, 12 hours off. Here's some pictures of the colonization:

Does this mean anything? Are my conditions too wet? Not enough FAE? Myc wasn't consolidated enough before putting into fruiting conditions? Some of these jars have side pins. Not sure if that changes anything.

It looks to me like it is just working its way through the verm to the top to form knots.

Here's another picture. It fuzzed up real good. This is after a mist.

It's very fluffy and it doesn't seem to be knotting up. I hoped it was knots but it's very tomentose which is not what I would expect. I've seen knots before and they're very condensed, not fluffy at all.
