because I don't want my fruits covered in grains and substrate and when you have multiple monos to harvest, cleaning each stump by hand isn't feasible. so you just chop them off as close to the sub and call it a day. twisting & pulling and cleaning each by hand is fine for small batches. but when you scale up and do big bulk grows, its a huge pain in the ass an can easily add hours to harvesting.
imo, cleaning the stumps on your shrooms is the same as trimming your bud up. its just bad form to not clean them up and makes you look like a cheapskate trying to squeeze a few extra dollars.
Not to mention it tears up the sub
I didn't mention it on purpose. I don't give a shit about ripping up the sub. It really doesn't matter, so I try not to impart that worry on to others.

Pulled shrooms leave craters down into the sub as others have mentioned. The leftover stipe of chopped ones just sort of gets eaten by the myc. Plucking shrooms and cleaning them off is time consuming. Designated a pair of scissor for the job.

What the hell they been feeding you, shoebox? 24 hours-ish later.
Another update:
The second shot is of the left side. Are the lighter fuzzier patches just tormentose, or does it want more FAE, or something more sinister?
Bonus edit: 15.8 g wet fruit from a container I forgot about for a few days.

I just yank the fruits and snip the butt off into a bucket. Simple and easy.

I go back and forth. Sometimes I'll cut, sometimes I'll twist. But I always cut the coir butts off.

I do what Pasty does but I yank clusters instead of single fruits. I don't keep the subs for a second flush so it doesn't matter if I wreak a bit of havoc.

Yeah those are the PESA-PE I had a pint jar I was going to use as a g2g master and I neglected it. It had put out several invitro fruits so I plucked them off then crumbled the grains up and mixed them in with some straw and coir They fruited fast ...

Psilo those are great looking fruits, any chance in the future that you'll be gifting those genetics to others?

Right on, just put the swabs you sent me, and the CN down on a plate.
I'm hoping I can help ya out and get a good strain to clone out of the PESA-PE and then print it.
