Think it's been about four weeks and stones are loving it and frowning, but alas no fruits...does it usually take a while? Is it that the stones need to establish first or something...or has my spawn just got good stone genetics and weak fruit genetics? Any reassurance out there?
It took mine a while to fruit also. Not sure how long but it was a little longer then my cubes IIRC. Just give it some time.

It should have fruited by now, given they’re in proper fruiting conditions. Like you suggest, some just don’t fruit or fruit well and are better at producing stones.

Thanks (both). I'll just leave it for now as the stones are loving the sub and growing nicely. Misting daily as the moisture seems to be getting absorbed/drank by the myc.
Gong to make a couple more boxes tomorrow and hope for fruits.

Hey stone brothers, I have to clean up shop for a bit. Has any of you stored stone jars in warmer temps. I'd like to move them to the garage. Temps fluctuate day and night. Would temps of 90s during the day be to hot?

Turns out it's been one month exactly, not six weeks as I thought... In any case I've made two more.
About the fluctuating temperature, I've no experience, but I imagine that's what happens in the wild in Mexico right?

It depends on how long you need to clean up. I'd put them in your closet, or somewhere else inside.
Those temps probably won't be favorable, no. I never have, but I can't imagine it would end well after a few weeks.
I've seen a few guys here who colonize and work in there garage. Maybe one of them will chime in.
Good luck

abductee. Long time no see.
What do those puppies smell like? Did you fill the jar that high, or did they push the grain up?
.. or even better. Is that a mycelium mat that grew up and under the lid?

My atl jars finally showing stones with dark growth. All close to two months.
Any thoughts on the turquoise colour spots in the lid shot?
Also, I've included a picture of my month old stones poking out of sub which I keep checking for pins.

Hi people, I just wanted to post some pics of these atl#7 I've had for just over a year. I'm going to try and put them to bulk, maybe try and fruit one jar.
Hey man,how have you been? I haven't been around in awhile, pick up hobbies, and put them down and focus on other things. This is the most growth I've noticed on the lid.
I smelled it when I first opened them and it smelled normal.lol but then I went back for a deep and long sniff. The one in the picture actually had a bit of a tang like a cheese, parmesan. This other one has that cucumber smell that was just mentioned

It looks more like contamination than stones to me.

I'm no expert, but the jars all look off to me. It's hard for me to see the stone, and the color looks like a wet green brown. The way it seems to be growing doesn't look right. I'm no expert though

I was talking about your pics,I do see the white stone with the color growing around it now. You would be able to see it better. The color is just different than mind, and the blue in the pic looking down into the jar could be the mycellium bruising.

Cool. I suppose I'll just wait and see. My hunch is that it's okay as it smells okay and I've not had any contamination with these jars so far, touch wood.

Yeah mullugh, there some funk goin' on up in there for sure. There is a stone or so, but the mycelium, even on the side of the jar is thick and matted.. this isn't good. Mexicanae mycelium doesn't do this in my experience, and you've also got a bit of black on the top inside.
I personally wouldn't put those stones in my mouth. Sorry man, better luck next time.
How did you go about innoculating this?

Gtg...there are about 12 jars, but this is the only one I was worried about due to the blue/green patches
