Sunday morning
    #2524187 - 04/04/04 10:44 AM (19 years, 11 months ago)

Had  a few old friends over last night. It turned into a long night of drinking Guinness and Red Stripe. I usually don't drink much, but last night we had a real good time. Woke up this morning by my kids jumping on me and my wife saying don't you have papers to grade? I got up and said fuck I feel a little rough and my wife just laughed. Went to the medicine cabnet and started looking for a solution. Found my bottle of Diluadid from when my back was fucked up. Had a couple diluadids and a Red Stripe for breakfast. Feel alot better, but these papers are going to have to wait till after my nap. :wexican:

One more saturday night :gd_icon:

Sunday Morning Coming Down
by Kris Kristofferson

Well I woke up Sunday morning,
with no way to hold my head, that didn't hurt

And the beer I had for breakfast,
wasn't bad - so I had one more for dessert

Then I fumbled through my closet,
for my clothes and found my cleanest dirty shirt...

And I shaved my face and combed my hair,
and stumbled down the stairs to meet the day.

I'd smoked my brain the night before on cigarettes and songs
that I'd been picking

But I lit my first, and watched a small kid cursing at a can
that he was kicking

Then I crossed the empty street and caught the Sunday smell
of someone frying chicken

And it took me back to something that I had lost somehow,
somewhere along the way

On the Sunday morning sidewalk,
wishing Lord that I was stoned
Cause there is something in a Sunday,
that makes a body feel alone
And there is nothing short of dieing,
half a lonesome as the sound,
as the sleeping city sidewalks,
Sunday morning coming down

In the park I saw a daddy,
with w laughing little girl who he was swinging

And I stopped beside a Sunday school,
and listened to a song that they were singing

Then I headed back for home and somewhere far away
a lonely bell was ringing

And it echoed through the canyons like the disappearing dreams
of yesterday

On the Sunday morning sidewalk,
wishing Lord that I was stoned
Cause there is something in a Sunday,
that makes a body feel alone
And there is nothing short of dieing,
half a lonesome as the sound,
as the sleeping city sidewalks,
Sunday morning coming down

sunday mornin', rain is fallin' (snow flurries, here, actually  )
steal covers, share some skin
clouds are shrouding us in moments unforgettable
you twist to fit the mold that I am in

I always start my sundays out with a wake and bake then quick browse threw the shroomery.  Then its to the couch for coffee and the news paper.  After that, i listen to a live gd show from my ever growing collection :gd_icon:

Sounds like you had a fun night Chinacat.  I hung out at my local bar where the majority of the music in the juke box is Grateful Dead.  And they really crank it.  I love walking into a bar and hearing Jack Straw blaring.  Have a nice nap.

I love Sundays.  A little too much Casadores  :wexican: tequila last night, but having a fun morning.  Puzzles with the kids and then a little hide and seek.  Then-nap time. Its a beautiful day, but an hour later than its supposed to be.  My wife was late for work :tongue2:

I don't party that often or use many drugs at all, but I don't tolerate discomfort. I'm a firm believer in the Buddhist concept of being free from desire and suffering.
Yesterday morning I felt a strong desire not to feel like shit.

Sunday morning I'm waking up,
Can't even focus on a coffee cup,
Don't even know who's bed I'm in,
Where do I start? Where do I begin?

      ----some Chemical Brothers song

Me personally, I found myself coming down from all kinds of goodies in a hotel room sunday morning. Then, around 11, drove me and my friends home. Couldnt even handle a whole bagel

Well it's now actually tuesday morning, by my clock (5:45 am!) and I gotta get to bed... but tomorrow cofee, a smoke, and some water-pipe in the sunshine (plus a nice GD show) will help me through this hangover that i KNOW is coming. Plus listening to some Crosby Stills Nash and Young before sleeping might help. g'night guys!

i  sundays!

WHen I was in high skewl I use to dred SUndays.  Sunday was the day before I had to go back to skewl.  Which in turn meant I couldn't go and hang out with my friends until 1am.  Back then I use to love Fridays and Saturdays.

After high skewl things changed.  12 years since then I can't remember one day from the next nor what day it is.  Like waking up thinking its Tuesday when it is really Saturday; man that can really fuck with you, atleast me.  I guess I can contribute that last bit to being unemployed for the past three months.

Funny thing about weekends when you're unemployed. They don't mean quite so much, except you get to hang out with your working friends. Well we got us a spaghetti western on 36. I like spaghetti westerns. I like the way the boots are all reverbed out walking across the hard wood floors. In fact, everything's got that big reverb sound. Well what'll i do now? Go to sleep. Pull the pud. We need new pornos. Well I guess i'm still writing...
