They were standing up when we walked in the room, but the floor moves a little bit.
Opened the box and gave one a shove - was slow motion mushroom dominos.
Weeee!

So they just fell over on their own? I've had some in the past that weren't rooted into the sub very well but nothing like that

Amazing once again, bob  I have a print that saralove sent to me a while ago that I've been thinking more about recently. Have you sampled them or know of anyone that has? Any feedback?

Haha yes, that's amazing.  I LOVE those scary shrooms.  A big tub full wall-to-wall of mean mushies would be the best....
Damn dude, you're gonna be putting in some fucking work!  I've been curious about PESA because it seems like it's a pretty popular one and have wondered about PESA potency and if it's right along the same lines as PE and APE..  You gonna make some master jars and then g2g and then make some monos?

These three coir-only shoeboxes seem to actually be holding water easier than ones with verm for me.  I did 600g coir to 3qt water for these fellas.

wow dude that's a thick little forest you have there-coir/verm is what I am using-any tips or tricks-I cannot get them to take over the top like yours. Also only 1 of my 7 casings worked.

How long did it take to grow just the shroom's form the start of your pinning-a month? I am sure I picked mine early.I work most of the time and do not want spores ever where.I really have no idea how long a typical fruiting takes, for one flush?

Get your sub prep/surface conditions down and you really just let them grow themselves. One thing I see a lot of is over-misting.(I've been guilty as well)For some reason we see pins and think it's time to do a scheduled mist program.:shrug:I try NOT to mist as much as possible. That and I have found that a top layer at spawn seems to help in my case.
Some fruits grow slowly,(from pin to harvest in about a week or so)these "menace" blew up once the pinset came in.
This was the above box less than 36hrs before harvest.

The total time from spawn til harvest was 18 days.:awesomenod:

Why I stopped adding it to my coir. I couldn't really see too much of a difference.

The only one I'm growing that I can confirm the potency on is  a+ and they are as strong as any PE. 2.5 grams floored everyone'. Hard to move. Dmt like visuals. Was really intense. Yawning was ridiculous. Very very visual. But tons of body load too.

Actually it's the same culture that did this to me.
lol. Mush was right.  It started to pin. Not well. And trich came up from underneath.
But the fruits from this culture are definitely scary strong. Maybe PRINTS will go to the market place when I get a handle on it.

Wow those are big-so cool-there real neat looking 2- Dude you could pour chocolate into the one and make a chocolate shroom cup.Neat how they curl up like that. Those cakes-did you just place them on top of some moist Verm?
I read to do this with jar lids on some Pf Tek-makes sence more moisture-my first cakes dried out quick.

Yes Mushroomnate I need to practise the coco moisture level-I figure that is the problem, now that you mention it-Also over misting-I will not mist as much.It did seem to trigger a growth spurt in my growing cake-this one SGFC I been only misting 3 times a day.But make sure get a good mist on top of casing but not on growing shroom's.Glisting -  but it feels heavy I should maybe lay off mist 2 times avoid the container.
Super happy its producing anything, I was about to ditch them into backyard grow piles.

New to this forum  my first monotub (4 days), used 1:4 of spawn and CVG. Would be super happy to get any sort of growth of actual mushrooms, since this is the first time I do everything from scratch

Looks good so far! Also don't be afraid to open the lid to snap a photo or take a peek. It won't do any harm. Keep us posted..!

In the case of those in particular;
Several holes in the bottom of the container, no tape or fuzz.
Pre-soaked perlite, just about 12 inch.
Cake rolled in vermiculite and tried to place it so pins were up.
Then layer of vermiculite surrounding the cake.
Works good, but not all the time.

Wow! That is why I follow bodhisatta's advice! That's a jungle, not a forest.
Oh man, does that make my little casing look so pathetic. Its like this is how your grow should look like and this what it should not look like.

I shall be reading Bod's Tek's more carefully and try to figure out why my first try failed so badly. This is great motivation, thank you for the picture!
