Are they easier/ quicker than cubes? I've read they're about half potency, is this consistent with your findings... I guess what I'm asking, what (if any) is the advantage?
IMO they are more potent than Cubes, but the myc grows much more slowly and is less resistant to dry substrate.

Curious how much weight comes out of the stones.
With all these gnats it just may be my summer harvest, while keeping my fruits to the less buggy months.

Mushrooms are ~93% water. Sclerotia are about 70% water.

Maybe you'll find this helpful? I found it in the sclerotia thread one day and saved it for reference.
Potency - ATL#7
this difference in "potency" when drying is mostly due to the water content. Mushrooms generally have 90% water content, while sclerotia only has 30%.
5g fresh stones = 10 g fresh mushrooms, yes, 2x potent.
However when you dry them, 1.5g dry stones = 1 gram dry cubes. 2/3 potency.
** 3g Dry Stones = 2g Dry Cubes
** 10g Fresh Stones = 2g Dry Cubes
** 1g Dry Fruit = 1.5-2g Dry Cubes

Probably should've asked the yield results rather than weight/potency. May prep a few bags or jars in winter to harvest many months later.

Depends on which stone producer you pick. Ive read that jars work better because they like to form on the edges

My first bulk tub, unmodified, started pinning a couple daze ago. B+..... Not as good as my one and only tray but still a proud papa.

1 cup gt wbs spawned to 2 handfuls of bovung brand manure and humus and a handful of sphagnum peat. just opened it up yesterday. A lil early but it's finishing fast anyway.
I also transferred some of that fucked up ape plate to 4 new plates from 4 different sections. Hoping to get growth transfer again and do a hot pour. This shit could just be trich for all I know
