sorry to take over but would you say these need more time then?

I know they don't often drop spores, but I should be able to see spores in te gills if they are producing them right?
Here is my PE bootbox from this morning. Slightly squishy fruits, and starting to flare out on the edges of the caps. I was going to harvest tonight or tomorrow if others thought they looked ready to go; I was hoping to try swabbing them if people thought it was worth it

Looking ready to me but I have never done PE personally. I would definitely be swabbing just to see what it would do on some agar!

most of those are almost ready and some of them are ready (in my opinion). i'd probably harvest that whole thing later on tonight.
some will show spores and some will not but you will probably be able to get some by swabbing even if you don't see them. just swab the darkest ones you have. also, the second flush will usually put out more spores with PE.

Thanks good to know about the second flush. I just don’t want to take swabs and trade with them if they aren’t spore laden.
I’ll harvest tonight, need to decide if I’ll swab or wait for the second flush... (I need the tub for a PE MS culture I am testing).
Verum, this is a clone of a clone. The OG was MS blob that a buddy gave me, I cloned it. The cloned blob culture gave nice fat blobs on the first flush and a sparce second flush with a single nice dick. That dick I cloned and it produced this culture. Given the background, do you think there is less of a chance for spores?
I’m mostly growing for the spores and not the fruits at this point

no, i wouldn't think so. have you experimented with proper casing? there is a lot of argument about how to cut down on blobs but i find a proper casing to work wonders with the dong.

I always use a casing with PE varieties, I use 8.5 parts jiffy. 0.5 parts sand and 1 part coarse verm. Pasteurized.
Did it with the blob culture and got all blobs on first flush, also used it on this culture I posted and got all dicks soooo

yeah, i have some cultures that are bound and determined to blob no matter what and some that do wonderfully (first flush) if cased.

everyone loves the blobs man
they are potent as fuck
clone yourself a fruit and get away from those blobs in the long run but its not a loss by any means
they get fuckin' huge too, my largest was the size of a softball
everything you need to know is in pasty plates and josex's biopsy tek
and you my friend are gucci
oh my advice on when to harvest blobs
when they get really fucking ugly, give them a few more days - they get bigger and uglier
only cut them if you feel they are going to rot or if you're completely sick of waiting.

Ok cool. I was going to pick them tonight but they are still growing. So im going to let them grow some more. Is the drying process still the same? Imagine it will take a little longer for them to dry since they are pretty dense.

just break them up either with your hands and some pressure, or a sharp blade works well too.
just cut em' down to "drying size"
all i ever did....just mixed em' in with regular fruits never had a complaint in my life lol

So my tubs are doing pretty good it seems. The tub that blobbed is producing fruits that still curl or bend over. They are still pretty meaty though. My other tub's fruits are more dense. Heres some pics of the first flush.
