I Done Goofed On Storage

So, after drying a batch for 24 hours at 50 degrees celcius, I went to empty the tray into my jar. However, at the 14-hour mark I popped some freshly harvested shrooms (just two) into the dehydrator on a separate shelf. Anyway, my dumb ass put ALL the shrooms in the jar. So now, somewhere in the jar are two slightly-less dry shrooms. Could this ruin the whole jar? Am I just over worrying? They were drying for 10 hours,but from previous experience this doesn't get the SUPER dry, the stem will still bend a little, despite appearing cracker-dry.

I mean, you saw the 2 mushrooms. Did they look like 24hr mushrooms?

If you're really worried about it, there's no harm in popping the whole jar back in there for however long you have left.

The other fruit will absorb water to maintain equilibrium... if it's been more than a few hours, and they feel less than crunchy, I'd do :whathesaid:

Pop em all back in. Sometimes mine slightly re-hydrate while I'm waiting to package them in bulk properly. They go back in to get cracker dry.

This is the weird thing. The big batch of mushrooms I put in had already been dried for 10 hours previously 2 weeks ago. Initially when I took them out of the dehydrator on the first drying run they were still warm (obviously) and crunchy, they would snap. However, yesterday I went to take one from the jar, all the stems bent.So, thats why i decided to dry them all again.

Anyway, That's how I mistakenly popped the less dry ones in with the cracker-dry shrooms - they all felt and looked identical. It's only afterward that I guess I'll be able to know. Ugh. There's so many of them. I'm gonna have to sift through just to find the two. fuck.

I have put a desiccant pouch in there, you reckon that'll dry 'em out some too? I really don't wana have to dehydrate them ALL again, my room gets so hot.

desiccant should do the trick, given it's enough and not spent: the packets are hard to tell
