So true. If they cant make a patent on it and make millions then it doesn´t matter if its a good thing. They probably throw away or hide a cure for cancer if they couldn´t patent it.

I have not posted in a long time here folks... I've been a bit ashamed of how badly I've treated my mitragyna sp. I live in the far north so keeping it in side is a must in the winter. That also means that the heat is always on and it gets very dry inside. The lack of humidity was hard on her. She dropped leaves and didn't put out more. Then this spring as the air was starting to get more humid... my grow light gave out.. first two bulbs then last night all four.
About two weeks ago I transplanted into a larger container and last night I put her under a new much higher powered higher quality grow light. I'm hoping she will put out some lush new growth.

I know how it is to grow things in colder climates. Inside i find it so easy to get bugproblems. Some mitragyna variants grow pretty good inside here while other seem more sensitive to low humidity. Riafats grow well but Thai red vein is more sensitive. I have some seedlings getting about 15-20cm tall now and i will try have some as houseplants inside windows and some i will put in a growtent where i can have a humidifier. It will be intresting to see the difference between Riafats, Malaysian Red and Green Malay varietys. Hopefully they can be aclimatized to indoor humidity and then we see how they handle winter time when humidity is very low. I can recomend getting a growtent and a humidifier.

Dont worry about it. All my seedlings died and when i got home my bumble bee was with its leaves all shriveled up. Nnow i have to bribe my,kids with 50 bucks to keep my,plants alive.
She looks veru good still. I wouldnt worry too much. But then againive never grown under lights.

thank you both this one has grown pretty well under 4 4foot t5 bulbs (6500K).
The biggest issue was low RH. I think if I can get the humidity up and some good light she'll take off.
I may figure out some kind of humidity tent for it. I've got a few people asking for cuttings but I wont touch it until it has several areas with 2-3" of new growth.

How much food are you giving her psilo?
Krats tough and usually bounce back. I wouldnt worry too much. Those leaves are pretty dark green though w some copper burns along the edges and throughout. Im no expert w krat nute overdose, usually just def.'s, but those have been symptoms of n-overdose in other plants ive worked w. You say the heater was on, but how hot did it get in the growroom?
Yeah i wouldnt worry too much about it... She looks like shes got a lot of fight still left in her

If given higher humidity they thrive and grow very fast.
Problem usually is that getting high humidity in a whole room is hard. In a growtent it´s different, as the airspace is limited a humidifier works well. But you will need air circulation and a fan pushing air out periodically. If air is still and never exchanged you will get bug, algae, desise problems very fast. Im installing a fan in the top of my growtent right now to push air out. I plan to run it periodically and when it stops i run the humidifier a short time. I might change to running the fan continiously if the periodical idea wont work.

Not really a tek. Just threw them in my humidity tub where i have my cacao plants. Some i stuck in soil but its basically rooting cuttings in water. Left them there over 2 weeks ago.
Ive also rooted in a glass,of water. Just change the water everyday. I used tap water one time.

Thank you! I'm encouraged by your post. I'll give it a try once my plant revives a bit. I've made cuttings of many plants but never any that are woody like mitragyna sp.
also @ LipaKreepa - I think I may have given it some of my organic fertilizer that I use on my cannabis. I'm not sure though. However, just in case I'll give it a good flush of fresh water. Thanks for the heads up.
