Broken crank arm on a bike

Throwing this out there to see if anyone knows anything about bikes. Was pedalling like a maniac a couple days ago around the city when the crank arm just broke off, big fall included. So it just kind of snapped from the inside, outer screw still on which makes me think that something physically snapped and not just came loose.
I'll post pics if it makes sense to anyone.

Changing a 3 piece crank isn't difficult if you have the crank puller tool. If you're not that deep into bike repair, the crank set can be replaced at your local bike shop without breaking the bank.

I was hoping i didn't have to change any piece of the crankset actually. My thought is that as you see in the picture all the pieces of the crankset seem to be intact, screw on the crank arm included, but one inner tube seems to have snapped.
Is this an inegrat part of the crankset or can i replace this separately, as the chainrings etc are all still waaay before their time. Thanks a bunch!

You need a new bottom bracket. The broken piece is the bottom bracket spindle. The crankset is probably fine.

That happened to me when I was a kid. I jumped really high and when I landed the crank broke. Hit my balls on the frame.
