Neither. Its just pigment gradiation. Pretty common. Look at the pics in my sig. They start red/orange in the middle and became white on the margins. quirks is just a bit more extreme.

That’s the beginning of trich right? Been awhile since I’ve experienced it and wanna make sure before moving it to te garage to finish this flush.
Also is it relatively safe to clone from a triched out tub?

Ya know. lots of people think that rhizomorphic growth all ropey like that is an indication of bacteria. I disagree. I believe it has more to do with maturity. Anyway, not positive. Someone knows for sure. Not me.

Can confirm that tub is fucked.
And yes you can clone from it but keep in mind it's covered in mold spores, so there's a good chance you could carry it along.
Agar works to clean it up. But honestly I wouldn't fuck with it unless I was desperate to save the culture. Id definitely take a few transfers and make sure the culture looks excellent before you put it anywhere near grains.

There is a difference between healthy rhizos and signs of bacteria. Bacterial rhyzos will stretch out away from each other, healthy ones grow side by side uniformly. Those look like a combination of the 2.

Wow... Going through my email for some stupid reason, I came accross the "rate our customer" email from Amazon about last dishes I got. Two out of three packages were not sealed. So, I mentioned it to Amazon, said, I will give them a chance to make it right before I rate them. I have new sleeves of dishes on the way tomorrow. Sweet!

Yea I was about 90% sure it was dunzo once I seen it. Disappointed but I think it’ll still have a decent flush outside or in my garage.
Not even gonna bother cloning from it, just was curious as to how difficult it is.

Unsupplemented shiitake blocks that were inoculated in open air on 4/2. This is the harvest off of the second block, and yes they should've been harvested last night but they still tasted fukn delicious They both produced around the same quantity of fruit and no, I didn't take good notes on the weight of the blocks but I'm pretty sure I inoculated them with about a 1/2qt each of spawn...I think

I just found this from my og post
