The tease of life
    #2525890 - 04/04/04 11:14 PM (12 years, 11 months ago)

The tease of life is that there is something fantastic just beyond my realm. It shimmers in my imagination and I know it dangles right on the horizon. The walls start to disappear and the lines blur. I know I am getting close.

The tease of life is that I innately know what I am here for, but it escapes me. It lingers on the fringe of my mind, about to pour foward. It is like forgetting a word, you sense the word and its use, but you cannot say.

The tease of life is that all problems have simple solutions and that life could be so much better than it is right now. But people smile while the world dies. For some people, the problems are below their radar, some have given up, but I am still eager for change.

The veil is thinner than you may think, my brother.
Easily penetrated with some conscious effort.

Normally I'd disagree with you on principle, Dr. Alien, but your statement is so vague it can be used to support what I believe is true. You're off the hook this time..

beautifully put.

It's too close so we overlook it.
It seems too good to be true so we can't believe it.
It's too profound so we can't fathom it.
It's not outside ourselves so we can't obtain anew.

Mindfulness is the aware, balanced acceptance of the present experience.
It isn't more complicated than that.
It is opening to or recieving the present moment, pleasant or unpleasant, just as it is,
without either clinging to it or rejecting it.
