Fruiting Chamber in closet

So i was just curious how i can fruit my mushrooms in my closet with a SGFC. I am on day 7 right now and i dont see any signs of contamination. So i was wanting to be ready for when it comes time to fruit. Will they need any light besides some indirect sun light? Does my closet have enough FAE for a SGFC?(there is no vents in there and its pretty small) where i live its very dry and it get about 76 to 83°F at times, can i fruit in these temperatures? This will be my first time and dont want to mess anything up.

I think it would be okay to fruit in those temps i used too! In a small closet too! i just kept the door open when i went to work for the indirect sunlight from the window and never had an issue with lighting! At times i had to keep my closet closed for a few days in a row and never saw an issue just went in and fanned the FC a couple times a day and opened the door while i was doing it! Hope it all goes well!

I also have another question about fanning how should it be done like i have read multple post and i still dont really have a good idea of how it should be done. Like do i need to buy an actual fan? How long do i have to fan it for at a time? And with what?

I just used the lid from my fruiting chamber and literally just fanned the FC with it for a minute or so. I never pointed a fan directly at it i figure that would really dry it out super fast

Direct lighting is better for fruiting. Fanning is not needed, chamber is covered in holes. Allow space for air on all 6 sides of chamber, mist cakes directly and keep proper surface conditions. Room temperature is fine.

I fruit in a closet fine. I live in a humid area. 80°F + in there, no fanning needed. Spawn run. Pins. Fruit. I have a T8 6500k in there 12/12. Good results.

I am reading a bunch of mixed answers on the lighting so your suggesting i go and buy a T8 6500k bulb, is this completly necessary? The air is very dry where im at, id imagine a bbulb like that would dry out my perlite quicker not sure as this is my first time. I just want to be sure on what to do. Also these jars are growing myclium pretty fast, no contaminations either. How much longer do you think until its at 100% i will take a picture of them tomorrow. Its been 8 days since i last inoculated the jars

No way to tell on jars with out pictures, I've never had a light and maybe fanning is an older tek but its what I've always done in the past so i may try to do it with out fanning and see if i get any results next time i use a SGFC. I honestly don't think adding lighting is completely necessary but I'm no expert. I have never put anything in direct sunlight for fear of it getting dried out. Maybe i shall try that too but I've never had problems just giving it indirect sunlight. Just try and see what works for you, i'm sure there is someone else here with a lot more experience than me!
Good Luck!

Just get some cheap 5000k or 6500k cfl bulbs for 5 bux. Fruiting in a closet is easy. Leave the door open as much as you can.
No fans or fanning.

Here is a video of how my jars are going. The first jar seems to be growing a lot more and way faster than the others any idea why? Also how much longer do you think i still got left until the mycelium fully grows?

It does very a lot i mean i have two different types of cubes going right now and one surpassed the other by about 5-6 days in growth it was pretty insane. Both were kept in the same temp, same place and everything. Best thing to do is to be patient and try to not look at them every hour you can like i do because it slows down time immensely. It just excites me seeing growth, i even make little marks on my jars and see how fast the myc is growing in certain spots. But im weird like that

I am still doing a handful of WBS jars via MS syringe, just because...
Its so fucking slow though. Barely any signs of growth while agar wedge jars started same day are coming along nicely, and LI jars done several days later are going to be ready soon.
I've had good luck with MS syringe growing but the speed difference is worlds apart

Thank you everyone for the responses i will just ignore them a couple days and come back. I have normally been checking on them twice a day once in the morning and once at night.

Just checked my jars not long ago and they are growing pretty fast there was ver noticable changes in just a day. Its looking good right now, cant wait to fruit. I remember reading something about letting it sit in the jar a bit after tbe mycelium has fully grown, whats that about can i birth the cakes when they are at 100% or should i wait?

Wait a week or so for then to consolidate then you fruit them unless your going to spawn them. It may be less than a week to it's just up the the jars if they start pinning before a week after 100% colonized then you can take them out but most wait 5-7 days or at least that's what I've always done

I am going to fruit them this is my first time ever. So whst your saying is you usually leave them in the jars until you see pinning? Also what do i do if i get pins do i remove them from the cake to dunk n roll or how should i go about it?
