Master jar ready for g2g & agar?
    #25241999 - 06/01/18 04:08 AM (5 years, 8 months ago)

From what it looks like a fully colonized master of wbs ready for a g2g and agar transfer.

Does this jar look fully colonized and how would u proceed when transferring?

Would u do g2g first to "X" amount of jars and leave a grain for your agar? Or vice versa?

Also how many jars can this master inoculate?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Also ready? Or wait a couple days before bulk spawn?

Sorry for the same ol shit posted I'll go through the posts again and compare. Thought I'd ask to get some expert advice on how they usually would proceed when doing both g2g and agar in the same sitting.

shake them and see how they recover. the uncolonized spots are questionable.

Ok should I wait a full 24 hours until it recolonizes 100 or until I notice growth again?

Also would I then shake again before spawning?

Mixed signals.. to shake or not to shake has to be one of the most controversial right side left side topics here.. I feel confident that the jars are in good shape and have colonized pretty well. Even the spots that didn't colonize with the rest of the wbs have a nice thin layer of myc that slowly accumulated throughout so contam isn't as much of a worry as previously thought out to be.

If you've done agar and g2g with the same master jar.. how do u usually go about with doing so?

I was thinking of using some kinda tool/ utensil to transfer a couple juicy seeds to a couple agar plates then doing my g2g transfers from there. Does that sound feasible? Don't have many tools I can think of for the grain to agar transfer besides tweezers,, any suggestions on the low$?

If in doubt, give it a few more days.

When I did gtg, I used a sab and shook some and not others. Shaken was faster tbh, but others did fine if a little slower.

I've put a single grain of popcorn on agar plates and it worked fine. Used a gloved clean hand, no tool required.

Alright thanks man,

I was thinking if anything I can do some chop stix but I’ll probably end up doing it the way you stated.

I’m going to study a few people teks again before doing g2g. Don’t wanna screw this one up!

Nothing to it mate, as long as you have a SAB and you are careful and clean.

24-48 hours. if it colonizes 100% you should be good to go for g2g.

Use it asap bro its all good I see some newbs don't get 100 white fuzzy jars but its still 100% colonised so use it, never leave grain jars to long the longer you wait to use it the less success you'll have :goodluck:

Well then tonight’s the big night I guess I’m gonna go thru with the bulk transfer, g2g, and agar.

Going to be busy busy!

I know casing isn’t necessary for cubies, but since I’m splitting half to trays and doing a unmodded mono should I case the trays once fully colonized in my GH?

If you're talking months yeah, but a week or two ain't gonna hurt anything. The myc is just gonna spend that time consolidating more.

(sorry for the lengthy wall post in advance)

I still have yet to do everything since last post...

I'm somewhat concerned now that if I don't get to work on the next steps that my wbs will be on the dry side and its like my jars aren't wanting to get to that thorough white I see most people's jars posted here.

I shook a few and all passed and recovered to what they were originally looking like so I'm not worried about contam as much.. I do live in a damn dry place though where humidity is none existant and these jars are moving super slow.

At close examination every seed has myc on it, it's just not thick as in "100" percent as I see in the colonized jar pics.

The jars aren't stalled they're just insanely slow it feels and the ones I did shake are back at the spot they where before just not that "thick" "100" percent.. it's frustrating because I want to say they are good but I don't want to move to quick and mess things up.

From what everyone is saying is good but then the following post saya something kinda contradicting.
