How Ziran gets down on mini mono'sI like myself a mini mono. Love the fact that if it trichs out, I don't loose nearly as much spawn. Its a similar principle as my mini trays I do. If you haven't checked those out, you can find them at this link here ---> Link to TraysI've made a few different style tubs from the 1719 style latch tub. There are a few designs and most will work if you dial your poly or micropore tape properly. I also use the 31 quart homz tubs.   I measure where I want my holes. I want them about an inch above the surface of the substrate. So, I like my holes to be about 4 inches to about 5 inches above the sub. Depending on my substrate height.   In total, you will have 4 holes. 2 top ones by the latches, and 2 in the middle of the bottom of the long sides of the tote.
Now for this design, I'm using a 1 and 1/4 inch hole saw for all my hole. You will want two on the long sides, and two at the top at the top of the short sides, just below the latches. Once they are cut, Micropore tape em up, or polyfil em.  I like to introduce fruiting conditions right away, so load her up with your spawn and substrate, then mix well, and introduce fruiting conditions.  Pinning    Almost ready.  Harvest day, and 8 hours later, with the harvest.      Same design for the 31 quart tubs as well.  Pins!   Short guys, but fatties.   Harvest    Another Run of the same 31 quart tub, except with a much deeper substrate.   There are a few other designs I've done. Two holes on each long side, about 1 inch holes and then 5 - 1/4" inch holes at the top. 1st Flush - First Harvest     2nd Harvest - First Flush   Same design, Spawned to Hpoo     Another Design was 3 1/2" Holes Across the bottom and 3 1/4" Holes across both sides on the top       Another 31 Quart Mono - I did a much deeper sub than I normally would. 2 quarts of spawn.               Harvest Weight! Totalled 841.17 grams    Another Tub - 2 4 oz pfcakes and 2 1/2 Pint cakes to coir.

Hell yeah ziran good write up brother I've been using mini monos also but for some reason I can't stop the myc from matting in the minis, guess I gotta up fae.

added the total number of holes the 27 and 31 quart tubs should have if you go with the 1 and 1/4 inch hole saw designs. Its 4. 2 top holes and two lower holes.

Ive done mostly coir, but some of these tubs are hpoo and grains.

Can't wait to see what this does.I wonder if the thicker sub will get heavier or more flushes.Probably will hold moisture like a MF.
I got a 27qt mini I spawned 4-5 days ago.
