Foods for Thought
    #2524540 - 04/04/04 03:34 PM (13 years, 2 months ago)

After smoking, I usually get a pretty intense case of "the munchies!" I think that sometimes it is because I am actually very hungry, and other times because food just tastes so good.

Unfortunately, I'm never in the mood to cook. I usually want to sit down, listen to some music and generally relax while munching on something. But without cooking, my options were pretty slim. So, I made a compromise, and now have a few things that I love to eat when I'm nice and stoned. I figured I'd share my ideas, and see if you guys have any of your own that you commonly try.

Ingredients: 1 can of Franco-American spaghetti and sauce, 1 pound ground beef

Directions: Put the can in a pan on the stove and let it simmer. Also take about a third a pound of meat and put it in a separate skillet to heat up. Stir occasionally for 5-10 minutes, and then add the browned meat to the spaghetti. Mix it up and pour the contents into a bowl and add some salt and pepper. Cha-ching!

For me and my friends, this recipe never gets old. It is quite tasty...much more so than burgers from McDonalds or other pre-bought food. It is also VERY easy to cook and takes a small amount of time, which makes it a big winner. On top of that, it's cheap! Each can of spaghetti and sauce is under a dollar, and a pound of meat can make the recipe 3-5 times. Also it fills me up quite well; one can per person is more than enough to satisfy.

Then, just to please my stoned self, I sometimes eat strawberries. Sprinkling some sugar or even whipped cream on a bowl of cut or uncut strawberries is like heaven for me, and really makes me a happy dude.

Hope you all try this and enjoy it! If you have any foods, drinks, or desserts that you love it would be cool to post them, and then maybe we can have a whole collection of stoner food to enjoy.

I would suggest getting those frozen packages of perogies. The ones with cheddar cheese and potato, they are extremely good.

lately ive been gravitating toward fruit as a viable option for the munchies. too many times have i gorged myself on burritos or chips only to feel like ass the next morning. fruit is always sweet, easy to eat and sits well in my stomach....plus it can be pretty trippy to look at or think about (watermelon anyone?).
