ID Request - Gym lookalike?

Habitat: Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc. Was on a log in a man made fence like area created by logs/ debris.
Gills: Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.

Stem: Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.

Cap: Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.

Spore print color: Very important!
If you notice any yellow in it, it's from the cap. Was quite slimy and left this nasty monster energy induced yellow color urine. That's the best way I can describe it and I hope other's know what I'm talking about
Bruising: Color that the mushroom bruises, if any. Brown, see pics.
Other information: Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.
It's hard to tell the size but I'd say the biggest one was approx. 3-3.5 inches in diameter. Stipes were a little longer 3.5-4 inches.
Whatever this fungi is, it makes my stomach light as if I were looking at a Galerina. I know some people think if they have Gyms they will taste a little, spit it out, and see if it's bitter. Not doing that with these, actually already threw them out as they are completely infested. Found a couple bugs on it too, ticks?

Thanks!

Mycoweb.com: "since this group contains some very poisonous ones, no one should eat a Pholiota"
Explains my stomach turning like a Galerina from looking at it.
Thanks for the quick reply

Don't quote me on this but I am fairly sure the squamules(?) on Pholiota differ from the ones observed on Gymnopilus, also Gym prints usually have a bit more rusty orange in them IMO.

Gymnopilus looks like fine hairy scale to me while pholita has a rough appearance.

I haven't put too much effort into researching the genus as I'm focusing on ovoids, so I based my desire to pick them and ID off of it being a 'big yellow' mushroom. From what little research I have done, if I'm not mistaken, Gym. season is upon us soon. Would be awesome to find a little patch of them.
