66qt mono AA+. Nice pins

This is a 66qt mono with 7 qts spawn and 16 qts coir/verm/gypsum.
These are 2nd generation transfers from agar. The result was 100% rhizomorphic growth. These should be beautiful.

The drying ones came from an earlier mini mono flush.

They put out good prints similar to other cubes. Great variety to work with in my experience.

The veils seem to wait until the cap is fully open before breaking away. Spore deposits are very heavy once the veil has popped. I try to get them before they open, but since they are in a place other than my home, its hard to stay on top of it. Ive gone to check them before and the whole tub is dark purple.

They are starting to quickly expand.
Just a couple different angles. This mycelium has been some of the most aggressive ive ever seen.
Agar is so cool because you can see what you have beforehand. These two disks are responsible for this monotub. They grew larger and was put to wbs. Im going to snag the nastiest, meanest looking one from this tub and attempt my first clone. Man this shit is fun!

Ready for an update? Does this tub look like it needs more fresh air? They are slim but it could be the gentics. They still look tasty. Got Golden Teacher and Orissa on Agar and will eventually have some pics to share of those. Im thinking 35 fresh grams of these would be nice. Would you rather take dried ones or fresh ones?

Thanks! Let's say that im still very much a newb. Ive done cakes numerous times and one mini mono. What you are looking at here is my first ever successful large monotub. So, if i wanted to give more fresh air, would i loosen the bottom polyfil or tighten it and loosen the tops? Wish i could have a perfectly dailed in tub, but i havent got to the point where i can do that effectively.
I know that the bottom holes should be very tight and the top barely covered, correct? There seems to be some aborts in there and id like to fix that issue as well. More aborts than i like to see. Many healthy adults, but i see aborts in the bottom.

those a plus sure are popular right now, do they have solid stems for the most part? reminds me of when i had ape 2.0 when it first came out and something strange happened we didn't keep aborts would dump them in the toilet and they stained the toilet with little bright blue spots and you also could see the blue going into the water, had to scrub hard to get the spots off also

Yes, i cant wait to get my hands on some true albinos like APE. Really, the density of the stems comes down to your environment. Colder temps allows for more of a short, thick stem, where hotter temps (75+) will cause taller, more hollow stems. The ones i have come into contact with have been varied. The ones on cakes during the winter were thick as oak trees. The ones during the summer have been your typical cube.
Ive always been a big fan of feild cubensis in a good old fashioned cow pasture. They are very fun to find, even though i have found wild cubes to be less potent than cultivated. Im about to go out in left feild so ill end my coffee rant here.

Well, back to square one with the tub. Hellacious harvest. I had a hard time with my first ever harvest of this kind. It took two fucking hours!! At first i couldnt get my hands down in the bottom. After i clear a good spot, i used small scissors and it did minimal damage. As you can see its recovering.
Now for the next bit of news. Two more tubs have just reached fruiting time. This 32qt mini mono And this 51qt mono. . They too are AA+. I basically made too much spawn. Im moving on to different varieties after this. I want to try each variety to its fullest potential. I think i can check these off the list. They have very thick and dark prints You can look at them from the side and actually see depth in it. Anyway, until next variety.

Dried and stored. Dont know an exact weight, but 4 levels. Nearly filled up my drying chamber.. These have been given away. Kind of payment for allowing the grow to go on there. Either way, i dont really trip that much. We're talking maybe 3 times a year especially if its a successful trip. Anything else is simply given away.

Thanks yall. There was a lot of hard work put into getting that right. Agar was my saving grace. For years i was intimidated by the thought of it, but it turned out to be very easy. If anyone is curious, I dunked the monotub then put it back to fruiting. What are the chances this thing will fruit again and will it be just as dramatic? It appears to be recovering.
Also, yes just 3 times a year. Sometimes more, but i usually trip very hard and im good for months. It usually takes that long to process it. Im still trying to process trips i had 20 years ago. Thanks a lot, Ghost.

From my experience with AA+ they usually will throw you some pretty large fruits on the second flush. Much less density in pinset but some MONSTER shrooms. I have gotten lots of 3-5 gram single shrooms off 2nd and 3rd AA+ Flushes.

I know yall are bored with the AA+, but ill have a new variety to share soon enough. Meanwhile, figured I'd use this same thread to show the 66qt tub is pinning with its second flush! The 51qt tub is pinning its first flush
Also, speaking of new variety, this is my first ever clone attempt with a wild looking Orissa that fruited off a cake It appears to be a success so far. Anyway, ill give updates on all 3 tubs for those who are interested.

Man, I think you're right. The 66qt is fruiting and the pins seems thicker and the pinset looks less intense than the first. So, this could be the flush I do a clone or two from.

Those are beautiful man! My first flush was more numerous than large thick mushrooms. This second flush will possibly give me some fat ones because the pins are much fatter but less numerous. I love those big, wicked mushrooms. They are the kind i wish to clone.

The 66qt is still trying to recover with minimal pinning so far. However, the 51qt is taking off like the 66qt did with many pins forming Also, the 32qt tub is doing the same thing
Looks like two more awesome tubs on the way! More updates to come. I hope the 66qt fires up really good again. It looks healthy but its like it had to go through the colonizing process again.

Can you believe that i just discovered this in a tote? 7 jars of corn that i had done as an experiment a few weeks ago. I completely forgot about these and they are almost colonized.
This too is more AA+. Good grief. Well, I can't waste them so ill let them finish up and put them to this May as well see if horse manure will give an even better flush. Minus the feathers I plucked from a dead bird carcass of course.
Also, a quick update on the 51qt tub. This thing looks like its about to be something beautiful.

Let us not forget the 32qt mini that's exploding as well.
I love these AA+. The person I gave some to took 2.5 grams last night and said.it was the most unbelievable experience of his life. He kept saying they are too strong and they are "very religious" whatever that means. We'll let him process it and maybe he can make more sense of it.
Im very excited for the next varieties which will be Golden Teachers and Orissa. It'll be a little while because they are on the petri chamber in the process of being cleaned up. The Orissa clone I took has been an absolute success. Or doesnt even look like it needs cleaning. Anyway, hope these turn out beautiful.
These that are on the corn were 3rd generation agar disks that was cleaned to total rhizomorphic growth. They seem to have taken a while, but as you can see in the post before, they look great. Anyway, till next update.

The mini mono fruited about a month ago and I took the substrate and cakes I had out in the woods and buried them about a week ago. Came to check on it out of Curiosity . Pretty cool! I just left them there and put some more leaves and debris on top. Maybe it will continue.

Hey OP, idk what your finances are like but you should invest in a dehydrator if you are pumping out volume like that. nothing is more heartbreaking than having shrooms grow mold once you think they are dry. no matter what i did with a window screen i could never get mine cracker dry. a dehydrator is worth every cent.

Thanks man, I've got a two system drying method that has dried my mushrooms more than cracker dry. First, I put them into the dryer which consists of a tote and wire racks inside.
Then, I have a 3 1/2 inch hole on one side where I hook a very powerful Honeywell hepa air cleaner. Holes are drilled on the opposite side to allow airflow. After a day and a half in the drying chamber, they are very dry, but not cracker dry.
They are then taken out and about 2 inches of damp rid added to the bottom. In about another day and a half they are so dry you can't breath on them with out them breaking. Ive used this method for years with my harvested pf cake harvests.
Does it work, you ask? Well, about 5 months ago i took some out of a mason jar that had been stored for 3 1/2 years. I took 3.5 grams and noticed very little potency loss and zero mold. Its a system ive done for years and not once have they grown mold.
I understand your concern though because the drying is the most important part of storage. ANY moisture whatsoever will ruin your storage. Thanks man.
Nice freakin tub in your sig man! What are those, Orissa? Beautiful

Plus, its only a temporary thing as far a these variety of actives at all. I do however have other projects just starting with King Trumpets. So, I guess whether there are actives being grown or edibles a dehydrater is a good purchase.
Ive just always used this method with various active and non active varieties.

I used this system for drying(fan dry, then damp rid chamber)with awesome results for years.I actually still have a jar from some 12+ yrs ago dried this way that were still as potent as of last November. But,someone recommended a dehydrator,(was always scared they were too hot.Old info)and now that's all I'll use.
Awesome grows by the way!

Good grief! These things are getting enormous! This that first 66qt tub.It was dunked and put back fruiting. Instead of produce all those fruits, it produced about a dozen and they are all giants. Is this a genetic thing that can be cloned? 97 grams wet! Probability over a quarter dry. Ill show yall the others as they open, they too have gone Nephilim on me.

I think its better to clone clusters. i cloned a few giants last year and ended up producing giant fruits, but only about a dozen of them lol

How do you clone a whole cluster? I can clone singles, but I didn't know you could clone an entire cluster. Or do you mean picking singles from full cluster producing tubs? Yes, the first flush from this 66qt tub is in my Sig. After I harvest all of those typical sized fruits, I did everything I was told on here as far as dunking.
It started worrying me because it recovered but wasn't pinning again except for about 12 little ones that turned into these giants. Ive only seen them growing this big in the wild. I like them because they are huge and cool to look at, but by weight they're probably not as potent as smaller ones.

Well, guys and gals. This will probably be the last update on the AA+. Its been a true success of my first successful tubs. Here is a pre harvest pic of the 51qt and a pic of pre harvest 32qt mini mono Thank yall for following along and the compliments. It makes me feel proud a little. Stay tuned for a future thread of GT and Orissa. They are on agar now and looking great. Can't wait to see what kind of genetics they throw my way. See ya soon, Ghost
