Are these Panaeolus??

Found these growing in my yard today after it had rained..They look to my like some type of Panaeolus? Anybody know?

Yes, they're Panaeolus foenisecii.

Sweet!! Any dosage suggestions? I heard that they would upset your stomach if eaten raw?? How many, etc..

Perhaps do a bit more research, I don't believe Panaeolus foenisecii are known to be active at all...

There is a chance what you have is Panaeolus cinctulus (which are active) given how similar the two species look. A spore print will confirm which species you have.

Cinctulus is what I was thinking they were..They are the only Pan that is known to grow in Kentucky too..

Well a jet black spore print would confirm P. cinctulus and a brownish-black spore print would confirm P. foenisecii.

After a very short google search I found P. cinctulus being the only Pan known to grow in Kentucky to be untrue. Mushroom observer has reports of P. foenisecii too. Essentially anywhere cincts can grow foes will grow too. In almost all corners of the world.

That print looks brown to me. Cints will have a print roughly the color of a permanent marker
