Really need help - unBODified APE 1.0

Hi everyone, been a while since I’ve posted. I’m trying APE 1.0 for the first time, and I’m using bod’s unbodified tub tek for them. I used WBS bags, all colonized perfectly with no issues, and put them on CV substrate. I haven’t had too many issues with any of the other cubes I’ve tried, but these ones all seem like I’m failing miserably, so I could really use some help. The pictures, from left to right are a 52 QT uncased tub, put into fruiting 2 days ago, 32 QT uncased put into fruiting 3 days ago, 32 QT uncased put into fruiting about a week ago, and 32 QT cased put into fruiting also about a week ago.

I don’t know why but it seems like I cannot for the life of me keep them moist. The room which they are in is around 76-80 deg, the fan is usually on although I’ve been leaving it off since my tubs seem to keep drying out. The last two tubs in the pic I’m having to he most issues with, as some spots had too much moisture and others were completely dry. They’re both bruised to hell, I did the cotton swab test to be safe but it is bruising. I don’t know if there’s any way to save them or not. The other two, I still have hopes for. The 52 QT still has the natural beads on it, but the smaller one seems to be drying out. Would it help if I flipped the lids back over on them? Should I maybe add a casing layer? If anyone could PLEASE help me salvage any of these, I would really appreciate it. I was really looking forward to these guys.
Thank you!
P.S. I’ve been missing them pretty regularly just to try to keep them a little moist but the moisture goes away within 1-2 hours with my fan on and 4-5 with it off. Even the bigger tub is evaporating pretty quick and that one had a LOT of beads on it.

I used 4-4.5 quarts for 1 650g brick, the only sub that has verm in it is the big one, the others were just coco coir. It seemed pretty decent though, I wasn’t really getting a “stream” of water when I squeezed it but there were some drops coming out. I’ve been using the same bricks and pretty much same amount of H2O for months now :/

I flipped the lids back over on the really dry ones, probably gonna start doing the same for the others while my fan is on too.
Anyone else have any advice? Would it be worth it to dunk them?
They also look like they have a good micro climate on the sides now that they’ve shrunk so I’ll probably get a lot of side pins.

I think they're contaminated.
In my experience APE multispore can be a crapshoot when it comes to results so I hope you get some fruits.
Do you have pictures of your spawn?

I don’t have any pics of the spawn, I actually did lose 1 of the 7 bags I had to bacteria, and 2 of the 6 that I used looked like they had some bacteria in them too but it was a very small amount, pooled at the bottom of the bags, which I left in the bags, and another one had a millimeter thick line, approx 2 inches long which looked like metabolites, but they all colonized 100% (aside from the small bacterial looking spots which made up less than 1% of the total). It’s why I went with 4 smaller tubs and just the one large one. I didn’t see anything which looked suspicious at all in the spawn I used for the larger tub.
I did save some of the MS solution though so I guess I’ll try agar next time.
Would the tubs be reusable after cleaning em out with a 5% bleach solution or should I toss em altogether and start over?

Cool! Thanks a ton for helping me out, hopefully the next attempt goes better!
Gonna let these sit another week or so till I get some things ready for the next attempt and see if I get anything at all out of them. I was really hoping for some of these fruits just because of how different they look from normal cubes in the pics, but I’ll see what happens.
Thanks again for the help everyone!
