i was under the impression that the phytosan certs were free.

got one with an order from another country -- and if they are 60 dollars... the other party just lost out heavily sending me 50 bucks worth of the item they exported.

peace

Seeds, with maybe the exception of very large amounts, should be able to mailed with no phyto-cert.......

Australia may be an exception for all the rules,...as they have very anal custom workers.......

I have a bunch of notes from a few years back that expain everything about the certs very well.....i will see if i can find them

not sure bout this, but i think you can get around phyto-san if the cactii are shipped without soil. I'll get back to you on this

Yeah, it's true. I forgot what you said you ordered but how much 60 bucks for phytosanitation is absurd. This place in Hawaii has some exotic things at good prices and the guy has a usda stamp. His plants Fedex come next day. He has some really exotic Indian Hindu plants. www.pctgardens.com You see some plant sellers have stamps and they grow their plants without soil in a mix of sand, volcanic rock and peat moss.

Are unrooted cuttings exempt from the phytosanitary requirements?
