1/2 pint canning jars

I cant find any 1/2 pint canning jars anywhere!! i went to king soopers and they only had 1 pint jars. anyone have any suggestions on what store i can get 1/2 pint canning jars? There is no wal-mart here.
P.S. i found 1/2 pint jars but they were plastic, would that work??

damn, i could go to home depot but its so far away and i dont have a car... isnt that a bitch?!?! im thinkin about trying mcguckins (a hardware store near me) hopefully i can find them there. if not i guess i will have to pay the 6.00 extra to take the bus to home depot...

You might be able to ask that hardware store near you to order some.  If they do carry any jars at all, then I'm sure that they would.  Otherwise, just order some off of the internet if it's that much of a hassle to find some in town. Good luck. :beer:

You know, I have 3 dozen 1/2 pint jars laying around since I tried that tek...now I can't get rid of them because of the mailing costs...maybe I'll try a giveaway on Marketplace...

lots of mail order outlets will sell you jars... shipping's really high though, so you're best to try local sources first... a lot of supermarkets carry them, and in a lot of stores they only sell them in the summer and fall when the fruit comes in...
