-------------------- I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them. I also attack my side if I think they're wrong. People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

One of the few things that can compete with that is straight black men's genitals.

Tilting at windmills

For those unfamiliar with the story of Don Quixote, here's the relevant passage:
Quote:
Just then, they came upon thirty or forty windmills, which (as it happens) stand in the fields of Montiel, and as soon as Don Quijote saw them he said to his squire:
“Destiny guides our fortunes more favorably than we could have expected. Look there, Sancho Panza, my friend, and see those thirty or so wild giants, with whom I intend to do battle and to kill each and all of them, so with their stolen booty we can begin to enrich ourselves. This is noble, righteous warfare, for it is wonderfully useful to God to have such an evil race wiped from the face of the earth.”
“What giants?” asked Sancho Panza. “The ones you can see over there,” answered his master, “with the huge arms, some of which are very nearly two leagues long.”
“Now look, your grace,” said Sancho, “what you see over there aren’t giants, but windmills, and what seem to be arms are just their sails, that go around in the wind and turn the millstone.”
“Obviously,” replied Don Quijote, “you don’t know much about adventures. Those are giants — and if you’re frightened, take yourself away from here and say your prayers, while I go charging into savage and unequal combat with them.”
Saying which, he spurred his horse, Rocinante, paying no attention to the shouts of Sancho Panza, his squire, warning him that without any question it was windmills and not giants he was going to attack. So utterly convinced was he they were giants, indeed, that he neither heard Sancho’s cries nor noticed, close as he was, what they really were, but charged on, crying:
“Flee not, oh cowards and dastardly creatures, for he who attacks you is a knight alone and unaccompanied.”
Just then the wind blew up a bit, and the great sails began to stir, which Don Quijote saw and cried out:
“Even should you shake more arms than the giant Briareus himself, you’ll still have to deal with me.”
As he said this, he entrusted himself with all his heart to his lady Dulcinea, imploring her to help and sustain him at such a critical moment, and then, with his shield held high and his spear braced in its socket, and Rocinante at a full gallop, he charged directly at the first windmill he came to, just as a sudden swift gust of wind sent its sail swinging hard around, smashing the spear to bits and sweeping up the knight and his horse, tumbling them all battered and bruised to the ground. Sancho Panza came rushing to his aid, as fast as his donkey could run, but when he got to his master, found him unable to move, such a blow had he been given by the falling horse.
“God help me!” said Sancho. “Didn’t I tell your grace to be careful what you did, that these were just windmills, and anyone who could ignore that had to have windmills in his head?”
This might seem like an odd association for a pro-Trump political cartoon, and so Ben Garrison helpfully provides an explanation:
Quote:
Ok I need to talk slowly so the leftist twits can understand. 1. Yes, I realize that the Don Quixote character from Cervantes’ novel attacked imaginary enemies as represented by the windmill, but Donald Trump Quixote’s enemies are not imagined. I read the book, did you?
2. This is a twist on a classic metaphor. Did anyone even LOOK at the cartoon the "windmill" is running away and knows he has been caught. Trump is charging forward in defense of everyone's free speech including Democrats.
3.The Marxist mainstream media may condemn Trump’s lawsuit as desperation and folly, but it’s happening and a major lawsuit against the social media leviathans is long overdue.Right now censorship is happening to conservatives but it can/will happen to everyone if not checked.
5. And if you're here just to troll and get your derps in, that's your choice. But don't be shocked if I go all James Woods on you. Have a wonder America First Day!

Ben Garrison has achieved something I long thought impossible: He Poe's Law'ed so hard that I think he might have managed to cycle back to satire.

It's easy to make fun of political cartoonists you disagree with, but at-least they're actually doing something to try and wake people up. And they're putting their reputations on the line to do it.. that's more than you can say for pretty much anyone here.
Very few people in this world have the balls to stand up for the truth, and the few that do are mocked by ignorant people on forums like this one who themselves aren't doing even the slightest thing to wake up anyone.
That cartoon from Ben Garrison is obviously flawed in that it portrays Trump as a hero (he really isn't) but it can't be denied that places like Facebook, Twitter, and Google have gone full-blown totalitarian with their censorship and political agendas, and they definitely deserve to be called out for it.

Strange use of the word "totalitarian", since it's voluntary to participate in those sites.

Yes, it is technically "voluntary", but that doesn't mean it's avoidable in most cases.
Hopefully enough people will wake up and abandon all three of them in the near future. That would be great. Gab has already skyrocketed in popularity, and there are many more that show good promise. I've used minds.com in the past and think they are another great alternative.
The new Brave browser search is a good way to cut out Google too.
Speaking of which, I've been using Brave for over a year now and I can't believe how much better it is than firefox/chrome. They are practically relics compared to Brave.

The powers at be love Gab, they love Reddit, they love Facebook, you name the platform, it is well loved. Dumbasses love to incriminate themselves. There is a reason why dark net markets continue to thrive.
