Habitat, cap size, lack of an annulus, spore size and shape, sclerotia wss also present, it was underneath the oak leaves the fruibody was attached too. I Could be wrong but it fits all the others I've seen and scoped. I know a few people in the area that cultivate and have thing for this species, thats why I think it's showing up in this particular area. It is the 1st and only non dung loving psilocybe found in this area. I plan to send 2 specimens for dna. Psilocybe Tampanensis is the only other stone producer found in this state and I doubt this is it.

I thought it was an agrocybe pediades at first, I was going to pick a couple for my granddaughter to look at under the microscope. The 1st one I picked bruised blue immediately, I didn't believe what I was seeing at 1st, I had to ask my buddy to make sure I wasn't seeing things. When I get results back I'll post it here and on MO.org

I found something else today that has me puzzled. I thought it was an inactive paneaolous in grass, brought it in to scope later only to find what looks like blue bruising on the entire stipe.

I did a quick scope and it has purplish spores and looks like nothing I've ever seen before. I didn't notice the little nipple when I first found it. Here it is in this shot of the suspected Galindoi, notice the bell shaped cap. Bottom picture.

Yes, definitely doing sequencing, I've always wanted to find something never seen here before and now I believe I did just that.
I confess that I tossed out the 1st two specimens I thought were inactive panaeolus, then curiosity got the best of me and I decided to grab one to scope for shits and giggles and was surprised with the findings. The tropical system dumping rain everyday is bringing out all kinds of beautiful specimens.

This has been tenatively identified by Alan Rockefeller as Psilocybe Tampanensis

http://mushroomobserver.org/317458?q=NF7C

I am sending samples airmail Friday for confirmation by DNA.

I have no idea but it's fruiting everday 3-5 mushrooms. I know only of alt7 escaping cultivation here, I have never seen this before now, I threw the 1st 2 out thinking they were a panaeolus papilionaceus type that was just small.

Finally, I was bored and tried to print them but they dried to fast, so I put one under the scope, when I saw purple spores it made me very curious, so, I put it on MO. I even found an opaque sclerotia I'm trying to find to include with the samples I'm sending.

Yeah, I'm excited to see the results, of course, like anything we humans are exicited to get results we have to wait on, seems to slow time to a crawl.

Edit: grammar corrections
