Tattoo needles for agar work no flame

So I was thinking of getting individually wrapped sterilized disposable loops so I dont have to flame sterilize the tool I'm currently using. And they are expensive lol but then I stumbled upon tattoo needles that are pre sterilized and individually wrapped they even have a loop end to the needle but its sorta thick to be used as a loop but I imagine the multiple point needle tip would be great to scrape a sample up off and onto agar. Has anyone used one before? This way when working in a SAB you dont have to pull a hand in and out to flame the metal loop tool. Just have a stack of them in the SAB. And if they are metal then they could be individually wrap each one in aluminium and PC them to reuse them over and over?

I guess sounds ridiculous compared to just flaming one needle. Try it out see if you like it. Some people do the same with scalpels only new sterile disposable ones. Also ridiculous if you ask me

what about q-tips? I've got a half pint jar of cheapo q-tips wrapped in foil sterilizing with some pasty plates right now.
There are also the cotton tipped applicators which come individually wrapped and pre-sterilized - about 8 bucks for a couple hundred, so more expensive than cheap q-tips.
Yeah, this is all less efficient / more wasteful than flaming a single needle but I've never liked using flame as its just kind of a pain to me and I generally don't like it.
I would choose flaming a single item over using a bunch of wrapped scalpels or something like that, but having a jar full of wrapped, sterilized q-tips for inoculation seems more convenient to me than flaming.

I'm not saying its hard, just that I'd prefer not to if I don't have to
I have to take my hands out of the SAB, flame, put them back in... that alone is enough for me to prefer the convenience of pre-sterilized q-tips when they cost $4 for 1000 and are a breeze to PC

Having to move your hands in and out is an integral part of sab use idk i say get used to it. Or make your sab way more comfortable

Or I can just use my swabs for inoculation and not worry about it

Depends on the metal they're made of. I recently learned my scalpel blades are not able to be Pc'ed, they rust in the moisture like a paper clip would. Iso & Flame works fine tho.

And never use agar because you need a flamed scalpel

Sounds like you are pretty against flaming is all. Im just trying to find out if its a paranoid thing or a badly built sab that's hard to work in

Its just a personal preference really...
Here are some reasons I'd prefer to avoid flaming, if I don't have to do it:
I have to have alcohol burning on the table next to me, and I'd rather not if its not required.
I have to remove my hands from SAB and reinsert them
I have to wait for the flamed object to cool enough before using it, or have a nagging in the back of my mind that maybe it wasn't quite cool yet... or nagging that it did cool, and managed to catch some contam before I used it.
These are all insignificant reasons that don't hold weight, but they still shape my preference
To me, flaming for inoculation seems like an unneccessary, additional work during your SAB process, instead of just pre-sterilizing the swabs and having them ready to go as you work in SAB

Its just a quirk in my psychology I suppose. I don't like being uncertain about things like this. I'd rather just grab a swab I know is ready to go, and use it.
Also, I don't have a torch and as usual, I'm a financial failure in life.

If it doesn't make sense, then why are the cotton tipped applicators recommended as "noob friendly" ?

How about this, what are the advantages to using a flamed loop over swabs? Just getting minimal amount of spores, or is there something else?

Being absolutely sure it's sterile.

properly PC'd swabs aren't sterile?
I mean, if we're getting technical here, you can't be sure that some mold spores didn't land on your instrument after it was flamed/cooled
