I understand the bitcoin system. Most anyone who actually does will tell you it's a ponzi scheme, everyone expect the people trying to make money off of it.
Also, didn't coin base and mt.gox require a all types of information to even open a account? Scans of drivers license and bank accounts.

I ended up losing like a collective $100 on dicenow.com. I'd made some nice wins, but ended up realizing that it's just as easy to lose as it is to win if you don't plan out a strategy. After like my third instance of losing money, I've resisted playing ever since. The last time I played I took my last, at the time, $2 of bitcoin and turned it into like $2.75.

I don't know about bitcoin anymore, honestly, it feels like a big scam.
So many shit coins, shilling companies trying to get on the blockchain hype.
USDT literally must be one of the biggest scam ever, a fucking virtual federal reserve basically creating out of thin air tokens.
I know they require for every token that they generate they must have 1 us dollars in their banks.
I don't believe that they follow that rule, not at all.
Then you have EOS, literally that has nothing behind it and is in the top 10 market cap coins. Basically an ICO where you have to register your token to their website and if you fail to do this you won't be in the genesis blocks for the future air drops. Incredibly over valued.
Fucking everything right now is over-valued by an insane amount. Most of those coins don't have any significant utility, they just want to be a cash grab.
Most people who buy bitcoins do such as an investment. They want a return on their initial investment, they don't see it as a decentralized currency, yet alone understand the mission of bitcoin.
Honestly, I am just ranting.

But to link a bank account with coinbase, you do need to email them a scanned copy of your drivers license. This is true.

I agree. If you were savvy at the beginning before the governments got a hold of it and monitor it, it was great. As well as getting their greedy little fingers into that. As well as the one guy that screwed over so many and took their precious. Lol. I stay the fuck away from it. Something will take its place.
