Hello Shroomery ! my cactus broke down in two pieces, and one piece is looks like i could trip from it?
And i'd like to ID that cacti. I'm sure its trich, i planted mix of pachanoi, peruvianus, and maybe bridgesii. Well i'm pretty sure its active, bought seeds from respectable vendor, but never tried it, so i can't say. Its 32 cm, or foot (i guess )
If its trich and looks ok, what is the best way to consume it, maybe i should dry it and save for a later, but how can i dry the cacti ? I heard about drying in dark and with some wounds and scraps it becomes more active over time. I dont really want to trip that soon , so maybe put in dark place and let it dry for a while? I'm pretty experienced , tried lots of psychedelics, but never mescaline.

Looks like maybe a Peruvian torch
And it appears that the cutting should be suitable for decent effects!
I cut mine into stars (cut like a cucumber) and dry em in a dehydrator, When you want to consume it either make a tea or evap that tea to a resin tar like substance or just go all out acid base extraction

Slice, dry, grind, alcohol extract, evaporate... there are lots of good teks on here with the exact process. I get my best results this way.
I agree it looks like torch. But I still think you need a bit more than just a foot. Mescaline is awesome, giddy up

Here is a link to MJ Shroomer's tek over at Erowid:
https://erowid.org/plants/cacti/cacti_preparation5.shtml
Here's a conversion table for cactus dosage, also from Erowid:
https://erowid.org/plants/cacti/cacti_preparation2.shtml
For the record, I have not yet consumed any San Pedro, although I have a lot of it, both live plants, and a well desiccated cutting about 36" long. I'll probably save the tip and base of the cutting, and brew the rest. A recent poster, Portabellakindaguy, had good results from eating 200 grams of the fresh, raw dark green material. Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

LOL, now we're back to the garden. The short answer is "yes", you can grow a new plant from almost any chunk of cactus. These plants are incredibly hardy. There is lots of how-to advice in the garden section. On the other hand, I see your location is Russia, which means you're probably not in a climate well suited to growing cactus. Other European or Canadian cactus lovers may have some advice on growing in northern latitudes.

Well 50 latitude. We have very hot summer, we grow grapes, peaches, apricots, pears, etc. Lots of light from april to october. 25-35 is usually, sometimes even 40. Well i think that i will cut a little bit from it, so that i can plant it, and eat the rest...

We seem to be in a similar situation with cactus. Too much for a brew? Here's my thread on a chunk of San Pedro that I was given. Let us know how your adventure is going.

I’m going to slice it up and then brew. I think it’s better than drying
Well you can see it on pic , is it eyeballed enough ? 400 g fresh and 12 inches. Or it’s weak dose
Still can't ID it. Maybe its cusco, and cusco is inactive

You can do that, but there's no real need to do so.

Apparently before drying it, you should freeze it for a short amount of time. This way you will break cell walls and water will flow out of the cactus. I don't know whether you loose any mescaline this way and I have never experimented with fresh cacti myself.
BTW I can read the supermarket leaflet in your pic
