Is that cluster in the center primordia? This is my first monotub and I spawned about 10 days ago, i introduced fruiting conditions yesterday

Its really hard to tell. Doesn't really look like primordia to me. You should start seeing the beginnings of cap formation if its primordia I think. Nevertheless you have good mycelium there and I'm positive you will get some mushrooms off that. If you introduced fruiting yesterday give it a few days. My last grow which I'm still doing took like 4 or 5 days after fruiting to start seeing primordia and I'm getting pins like every 3 days after harvesting a flush you can check it out in my threads if you want. Is this your first grow?

That's not primordia in the picture of the original post. It's mycelium going aerial. Bod has posted hyphae knots.
Primordia is the phase of mushroom fruit body growth in between hyphae knotting, and pinhead formation.

ive heard aerial mycelium means you aren't giving enough fresh air exchange. Do you have holes in your tub? you may need to fan more. People say you don't need to mist and fan monos but I mist when it looks dry and try to fan 3 times a day
edit: I just looked at your pic and it kinda looks like your trashbag liner goes to high. You should have holes pretty much right at your substrate level. I use 1.5 inch holes 2 on the long sides at sub level and one on each short side and stuffed with polyfill. tight bottom holes loose top holes

Knots is the common amateur mycology name for primordia. Knotting isn't used in scientific papers, they say primordia development. My pictures show knots/primordia all the way thru to baby pins. There's many at all stages of early development.

Ok I wasn’t sure what it was since it almost looks like a little cluster of shrooms. This is my first monotub, I’ve grown some shrooms in a bag once but that’s all. I have 4 1.5’ holes with polyfil total on two sides, it could be aerial beasuse there was no FAE during colonization right? I just put in the polyfil yesterday so could that be it? The holes are up top also, I’ve been fanning 4 times a day though since yesterday

The basic monotub has 6 holes, two on each long side close to substrate level (evenly spaced) and one on each end at the top of the tub under the handle/latch.

Well I don’t think there’s much I can do now except for fanning, I don’t have a hole saw bit for my drill and it was kind of a pain to get the 4 holes there are without cracking the plastic, thanks for the info though

Wish I had read this last night.. I’m on my third flush and I scraped my cakes to get the vermiculite off and I had a bunch of aborts. Based on that I may have an unsuccessful third flush?
