Patch from the park in a cardboard box

I took this patch and about an inch of dirt and mycellium from a park about a week ago as council was doing renovations and gonna kill this spot. It's just in a cardboard box sitting outside my house in the bush, 30 Or so pins have appeared in the last week.. and it all seems good.
Should I just leave them be? Spore print later on and try recolonize? Can I find a suitable habitat and dig a hole and put the whole box in lol?
cheers

I would wait until they are done fruiting. Then expand with wood chips or cardboard. Then bury in a suitable spot with more woodchips or mulch.

Personally, along with transplanting it, I would also culture some of the mycelium using the wet cardboard method and then transfer the cardboard to wet woodchips.
When you replant your patch I would also add the colonized woodchips and continue to feed the patch fresh chips and keep it watered. This will be the best way to ensure it's survival long into the future.

Are these cyanescens or ovoids?
