Please keep us updated on this grow. Just ordered some GT yesterday and will start a grow journal as well. Either way, it was awesome that you were able to basically redo your whole set up like that!

Just happy it is working so far. Pinning is slow but coming in nice all over the cakes. Seems like there are new ones every time I look at them. Can't wait to see if they all mature or if they will either stall or abort. Fingers crossed

This morning I cleaned off 3 aborts and had this little one that decided to say hello

The rest of the pins (including the mutants lol)
seem to be growing well and fattening up. I hope they keep growing and get a lot bigger than the little one this morning! By the look of things, this shouldn't be an issue

Now there is one concern I am having with one of the cakes that is pinning really nice for the most part. The problem is on the top right corner of this cake...

I am not sure if it is mycelium that is growing or possible cob webbing?
Here is a closer pic (These pics were taken just after misting)

And another from a different angle. See the cotton looking puff ball...

And one more..

I don't really have the space atm to fruit it separately and it is pinning nice on the one side. I think if it grows any larger, or spreads over a larger area to fast, I may just have to cut my losses and toss it. Wouldn't want to risk contaminating the other cakes, if that's what it is. Hoping it is just over active mycelium because it would be a shame to loose one of these cakes after saving this project already. If anyone with more knowledge care to chime in, it would be greatly appreciated.

I think it’s aerial mycelium, doesn’t look like cobweb to me

They look good and the moisture looks nice.  Make sure you let the cakes "breath", ie dry off.  Then water again.  Free Air Exchange is important.

Fanning often to ensure good FAE and leave the lid off for at least 30min before misting to let them dry out a little before misting again. This is not the usual setup of a SGFC but a modified version as I have very little space atm. So far it is working for me and has allowed me to salvage a project that would have otherwise been doomed! Thanks for the feedback meltdown as it is always appreciated to hear what others have to say. :thanx::jah:

Seems my new little setup is working quite well! Might have to do a tek write up for those who have little room or a small amount of cakes to fruit, as this setup is provig fruitful.

Thanks chazj! They are not as nice as some of the cakes I have done in the past, but for being a salvage project, I find they are fruiting well and if I had time to completely flush till the are spent I am sure they will do well. Unfortunately they will be done this flush soon and I wil be moving on to start working on some agar for a future WBS bulk grow. Need to do some isolate a clean culture first and haven't decided which of the 3 varieties I have will be first. It is a coin flip between GT, Costa Rica, and my fastest coloniser... Z-Strain!
Wishing you luck!
Happy shrooming!!!

Not sure why they uploaded upside down

There are a few more left on the cakes but will be ending this grow within the next few days. Sad that I won't be able to get another flush, but happy for what they have given me, considering the trials and tribulations this grow has been. Looking forward to future projects and many thanks to all who have followed and encouraged this grow and salvage project!
Happy shrooming everyone!

Can't believe it, but it's true! This is the same shroom, and yes it is cracker dry! (Sorry for the first pic being upside down)

Maybe it just wasn't on the scale properly in the first pic. The cap is really heavy though. 1.9g by itself
