Did you have agar already in your jars or do you just need to inject your spore in to the grain jars. Sorry I have this agar information but I never see anyone talk about it in there tek

He didn't mention agar or grains anywhere in the pf-tek, maybe you should read it over.

The only time you would use agar in PF tek is if your using a filtered grain jar or if you are making LCs and LIs to inoculate your pf tek jars. At that point, you might as well just do grains.

That being said, Ive used pf tek jars to test my LCs anf LI's out.

I have a few syringes of LC, and was planning on using it to do BRF to bulk. I was gonna aim for around 60 cakes using 30cc's of LC, and spawn them to mini monos.

Do you think im missing out on a lot of potential yield by not doing grains? Or is BRF to bulk still a pretty efficient method even with LC?

its still good. but you get more bang with grains. the jars are bigger, and you can shake them to speed up colonization.

Alright maybe ill try out grains then. For some reason ive felt safer with avoiding contams using BRF, even tho i inoculate with LC.

I feel like i remember seeing someone say that SHIP's made with the red RTV silicone are not very reliable for some reason. But ive seen a ton of people say they work.
If i decide to do grains instead of this method, do you think lids with a silicone SHIP are effective?

I use unmodded plastics or Sfd grain lids. I flame my syringe, squirt a bit to cool it inside the sab, then open the lid enough to squirt into it.

Do you think i could use SFD's with the plastic lids? Ive seen people say silicone doesnt stick to the plastic as well as metal, but i feel like ive seen people do it before.

every time i make my jars, following the directions exactly as stated, my verm, h2o, brown rice flour mix, although field capacity is right in line with what you state here, it always seems kind of clumpy. Any ideas?

Is it necessary to squirt some of the solution to cool it down, or would it be alright if i just took the lid off and squirted it in there without it cooling down?

I only have so much LC, so im trying to make it last without wasting any.

the first few drops die when you squirt it. so its kinda meh to put dead tissue in your jars.

If i squirt a few drops before every jar and im doing 15 jars, do you think ill end up wasting a lot by the end or a negligible amount? I was hoping to do 15 jars with 30 cc's, but if i squirt a few drops to cool it down before every jar im worried i may not have enough.

Alright if its negligible ill squirt a few drops so that only live tissue makes it into the jar.

Thanks for the help
